What happens with all banksy tat and ephemera (walled off items, dismaland, welcome Matt etc).
And don't trust fake sales and shilled items either.
Lots of fakes to come too

Does one want a small image on the wall or a big one is the decision.

1- few will wear these, few will look silly. if you live in Bristol and wear it I think no big deal. it’s like a “Home of Banksy” shirt.
2- people frame all kinds of shirts, particularly sports shirts.
3- I see no devaluing. trying to analyze the art market over the last 18-24 months a difficult thing. If you go to the Andy Warhol museum in Pittsburgh there are showcases filled with all sorts of things like this.
4- those who keep theirs will feel a small connection to Banksy, smile when they see it framed on their wall - what with the UK moth issues probably the best bet. those who flip are playing the suckers.

I like these because of the story and being able to connect directly to Banksy.
There are lots of good prints I like( Kate Moss, Nola’s ,Choose your weapon ect) and somethings I hate ( Applause, Peckham rock, Exit through the gift shop posters ect))
But this feels good and I just paid a premium on eBay as not getting to Bristol by close of play.

Yesterday I was reading that there'll be 200 shirts and Banksy wanted to buy these poor fellows a pint - today I've seen in news that there are 25000 shirts available.
So if we calculate 20 pound profit a shirt, will he really give half a million pound to this guy's or fop them off with 5000 (which is still a good few pints 🤣)
I think this shirts are ridiculous and fakes will flood the market very soon.
Can someone clarify things to me?

a) Don't panic - there will be loads of flippers today and this week (the guys in front of me were on their 3rd store of the day...), and these items always slip into something approaching a true value after 3/4 weeks.
b) Make sure you get a receipt as it's clear proof and provenance - this is the receipt I got from Friendly Records - I've cropped to the top, but insist on seeing and being sent the full thing
