They were great in the flesh. No 306 and 308 were stunning and I was tempted to put in absentee bids but didn't for the reasons you mentioned. What did they sell for in the end?

Phillips Art Auctions • New York, Hong Kong & London, by Guest on Mar 15, 2009 12:43:05 GMT 1, No Soupcan in the sale Winter, except Gavina stool that is. there was a banksy soup can. I think it went unsold along with the flying copper and the jack and jill. But the auctioneer was so quick I couldnt keep up. Around 130 lots an hour.
did any sell?

yeah but largely u wouldnt go to an auction to buy a banksy print, when they go that low its most likely people who werent planning to buy but are picking it up so cheap
the people with the big money will be on the originals at auction or through laz or other galleries

Phillips Art Auctions • New York, Hong Kong & London, by Guest on Mar 15, 2009 13:03:56 GMT 1, I think the gangster rat sold. Don't think any of the failes sold - maybe the F-Head did - that was very nice. Walker Moona Lisa went the highest at £18 - 19k all in. Kaws decks around 1500, think the micallef 21st C sold well, Large Seen did good - about 4k Herakut 3750 all in. Os gem boxes around 18k all in. One lot had a guide of 2-3000 and sold for 60,000 on the hammer!!! One of the great buys of the night was he chiho aoshima which went for around 7k.
The F-Head was one of my favorite pieces, Its a shame the rest did not sell. Good price on the Herakut and for a good cause. Is the auction house donating their fees to War Child?
