Banksy originals market - How far can it go?, by pollz66 on Jan 6, 2022 15:43:51 GMT 1, Strange result: the Trolley Hunters canvas which auctioned at Sothebys NYC in November last year was a large, unique piece and sold for just under £5million.
The Love Is In The Air canvas at the same auction was an edition of 15, half the size of Trolleys and sold for just under £6million.
So less is more, quite literally.
Banksyvalue hasn't updated its Banksy "originals" page for ages which is a shame as 2021 was a huge growth year for canvases and it would be interesting to see where we were this time last year.
While print values were always going to correct because of their large edition sizes, the value going forward for Banksy originals is potentially limitless.

There’s simply no denying that, despite a person’s personal taste/preference. Despite being a great piece and Colored Trolleys being one of my personal favorites, Trolley Hunters isn’t an iconic B image by any means.

There’s simply no denying that, despite a person’s personal taste/preference. Despite being a great piece and Colored Trolleys being one of my personal favorites, Trolley Hunters isn’t an iconic B image by any means. Wow. What a hater. Not iconic at all do you even know the back story of trolleys? And for the record. To All members new and old don’t be swayed by the self entitled posts of members selling things and bullying there views on to your walls. Lol. Never said trolleys was more iconic but i will say that the most iconic Banksy Image to ME is LAUGH NOW. Now you can quote me all you want and stop typing what I never said. So for the record coach and silk are swearing LIITA fila the most iconic image of Banksy of all time. Lmao

Not fraud in any way. A practical joke is one thing , but explain how it made it past Sotheby's experts? Because if they knew about it they knowingly had bidders on a piece falsely dated. Hence why his market will continue to drop and PC doesn't issue people with their COAs.
