You know I always thought he was, but when you think about how all the images of him came about it just doesn't make sense.

First image from the Daily Mail, why is there only one image, who took it, and how did they gather his identity from that snap? clearly it was a guy cutting Banksy stencils or playing around with them in broad day light, with zero attempt to hide his face.

Why not a video, why not more images.

Then there is another image of him in the van, I do not get why many years later, no new images, someone spots a van looking suspicious, so takes a video of the person sat in the van. Suspicious why? and what a coincidence. Plus this shot was in the day and the work was created in the night,

Both these images lead me to believe this person is a helper, image one helping to set things up, maybe even preforming the act, image two they set up the scaffolding,

The other images such as the profile image of him looking at a Banksy, why would Banksy let someone take this photo?

Then there is the image of him with Robert Del Naja at a festival, this makes sense because both have been associated with Banksy.

Do I think it is Robert Del Naja, no. I don't think someone with the success outside of graffiti would risk such a life, people often move on or grow up once they have bigger responsibility's and things to loose.

Could he be involved in the designs, sure, but friends talk, doesn't mean he is an official part of a Banksy group.
Then there is Guningham, now I think he is involved, either as a helper or as someone with some input on designs, such as the more cartoony and painterly designs, as you can see from the old comics, carton drawings and CD graphics all singed by Guningham match with early Banksy works in style, especially the hand writing.

It makes no sense to me that Banksy would be just Robin Guningham, I feel like who ever it is must have a career outside of the Banksy brand, why, because they don't produce much work, for someone who is an artist, and who originally created illustrations, I feel they would have taken things further, and have more going on, obviously as Banksy creating to big of a brand with to much product, wouldn't work well with keeping under the raider, so there is a happy medium there.

There are a few ransom stencil artists said to be involved, who make similar work by themselves, so it would make some sense.

But Guningham, I vote decoy!

Remember when he called up Swindon break dancer Banxy to posse for a Banksy photoshoot,
Possibly Robert Guningham also signed off as Banksy in the 1980s/90s and it's an inside joke.

Surprises me though that no one has ever seen Guningham walking baout , or at work, so this leads me to believe he has been paid to help out, got involved in some of the designs maybe, and obviously signed non disclosure agreements.

Read an interesting theory on Reddit somewhere, cant remember all the details but its conclusion is that Banksy has now retired.

The bits I remember were:

1. No new prints at Cut and Run
2. The show presented all his inner workings
3. The name Cut and Run
4. Last "street" piece was of curtains being drawn, open or closed its your call, the poster said they were being closed.

And some other bits I don't recall. Gave me brief pause.

Must have been that Reddit article ChefD is referring too..

However it’s written by that wacko Bobilon a few posts above who has produced a host of odd Reddit threads that seem to assert Lucy McKenzie is Banksy. Some very strange reading if you want to waste some time.
