The app clearly says signed by the artist. I think the Wong was just a mixup, which is corrected now and no longer says 'signed'. If they were all in fact digital why would they change his and lower the price? However, that email is disconcerting.
Julie Curtis appeared to say not signed and then corrected herself. Since they aren't shipping 'til summer maybe the artists just didn't know they had to sign them but were pointing out they hadn't (yet). Again, weird.
Nina Chanel Abney's post says 'hand signed' and unsigned editions will be released at a future date. Then, I question what the difference between the two editions would be. If it's just a signature, surely someone can get them signed by the artist and then it would no longer be an edition of 100.

If you listen to Zane Lowe speak on each piece he says "11.5 x 11.5 gallery quality giclee printed cover, signed by the fine artist's themselves". Despite all the terrible wording, thats pretty clear. |

I assume they have now gone to the artists cap in hand asking to get them hand signed to avoid a big mess and most will likely oblige as it is a charity release after all.

Someone there says Adam and few other artists they rep "are all signing the special editions". So this might help if you liked that edition.....sadly I have now released it is being released to late for me to be online to buy as Ill be asleep.
Other one I liked was Ed Ruscha, but I can see no guarantees he is signing so I have held off buying tbh and but may regret later.
It feels a bit like a $2500 gamble, I just wish they had got organised - couple of pics of couple of artists holding a pen signing a print and few of these would already be sold out.

It originally said hand-signed, then just signed and now back to hand-signed on a few of them but not all. Boafo & Ruscha now state hand-signed again, while Weyant & Hollowell state just signed which is different from Thursday night. If the recording artist is alive do you think they signed them too ?

I've bought records in the past that were states to be signed but were all robo signed. Hopefully for those who bought, they're hand signed.
It seems like this whole thing was dreamed up by someone who thought, hey art is selling like hotcakes. Let's slap some hot auction names on here and art collectors will eat it up. The pricing is aimed toward art collectors but is actually ignorant of the art market itself. Many of these artists have cheaper editions and the price should have varied based on the artist. They should've had the actual musicians sign these as well.

People trashing NTWRK quite a bit here, but I've had nothing but great experiences with them with the Beyond the Streets shows.
NTWRK is owned by James Iovine....son of Jimmy Iovine (who used to run Interscope for years).
That being said, I think the prices should have been staggered appropriately for the visual artist. Signed by the (living) music artists would have been a smart move. Hopefully, more of these drop in price to the appropriate market value. I'd grab some of these at a $1000 a pop all day long.....
