Once itโs in a frame it will look like a framed poster.Problem is, the frame will cost more than the value of the poster (print). |

Itโs not a critic, I like a lot AA. But I reckon thatโs like Heni, OTi, and some others, that Avant Arte is very hyped ( with reason) and gives confidence as they are offering prints with quality and have this classy intellectual side.
Another editor ? Nobody would bought it at this price. We pay a bit the brand. Otherwise it should be around 250 I think ( depends of the. Quality also )

Above all, I think that we are interested - and that why we would pay this price - because of the great editor ( Christian Avant Arte ) Itโs not a critic, I like a lot AA. But there will always be someone who didn't buy one from the release that wants one. New people born every second. It's also not a $10 poster. There will also always be people who can't afford it now and might be able to in a few years. The funny part is that if it were a Banksy timed release for the same price, or more, nobody would question if it were worth it. So just weigh out how much you like it and if you would enjoy it on your wall or not. No thread is ever complete without the: "If it were Bansky..."

People will spend hundreds of dollars on folded posters that were inserts in a newspaper but complain about another artist doing an unsigned edition at a price point that is arguably reasonable compared to their other releases. I'm not even trying to convince anyone, cause the less people that buy it means a smaller edition. To each their own.
That being said, I do try to buy things that I believe will, at least, hold value as you never know if/when something might come up and could need that money.

As the great philosopher and TV chef Gino D'Acampo once said: "If my grandma had wheels she would be a bicycle." Just kidding of course, but it's hard to draw comparisons between different artists. Banksy would never do a timed release like this I would imagine, and Stik is a retired artist, with not a lot of work going around, also most of the newspaper posters ended up in people's bins. This release is definitely a buy if you like kind of work, as you don't know the edition numbers/fair value. Like the work, but not sure if I'll pull the trigger. |

In terms of the market, I think it's a great time to buy... As someone said earlier in the thread, there's always new collectors and changing tastes. Maybe a year or two ago, this timed release would have been double the price.
I think the screen-printed element will hopefully add more depth than a flat-out giclรฉe. Let's see ey!
