Damien Hirst, The Empresses H10, by soupy on Jan 29, 2022 1:24:20 GMT 1, I’m tempted to buy as an investment but the combination of NFT and timed edition feels like there’ll be thousands of these… If people assume these have got The Currency profit then yes. They'll sell 10000s why would you think people assume that?
original <> giclee
the currency was a traditional NFT / art combo. this is just a delayed physical contract.

Damien Hirst, The Empresses H10, by michaeldee on Jan 29, 2022 1:36:39 GMT 1, The Virtues release was limited to one order per person, not one artwork. Buyers could purchase up to the entire collection of 8, as long they were paid together on the same invoice. I cannot recall if Heni allowed buyers to purchase duplicate copies of a particular Virtue.
What I am still trying to figure out for the Empresses release...can buyers place more than one order over several days? I would like to pay for a couple of them now with my bank card, and in another few days place a second order for the remaining 3 with a credit card. Any confirmation on if we are allowed to do this?

Damien Hirst, The Empresses H10, by Sam Am on Jan 29, 2022 2:38:44 GMT 1, So if I went for the NFT then no VAT would be added and shipping only paid once the final owner traded the NFT for the physical ? If this is right this is genius and a no brainier investment. This is the start of something. Well played Damien.

Damien Hirst, The Empresses H10, by Fairxat on Jan 29, 2022 2:46:26 GMT 1, This is going to fall flat for flippers Comparing to virtues? Many more people now aware of these new types of releases timed releases and actively looking out via Instagram etc, more people signed up after missing out the virtues prints. More hesitancy was seen on the virtues release, with the average single purchase Already here, multiple purchases discussed by individuals. The market will be like the nhs release and the other charity release, multiple purchases by individuals and a flooded market Good luck if your only buying for a quick profit

Damien Hirst, The Empresses H10, by Blue on Jan 29, 2022 3:42:25 GMT 1, Was anyone else suspicious about the blue images like this fetching so much at Phillips last week? Nicely timed for launch of the reds… The Virtue at Phillips went for a really excessive amount too. Would correlate with the theory... 'Hirst Butterflies and Heni timd editions make you loads of cash...buy this new hybrid of the two!' All conjecture obviously... could have been right time and right opposing bidders
Surely every man and his dog will jump on this opportunity too, considering the appreciation of the Virtues. So (if its your MO...) its almost guaranteed it will be a slow burn in regard to appreciation and flippability, especially as it isn't limited to one print per person.
Love Hirst, love the fact Heni and him release editions that are very affordable for a blue chip artist, as well as innovative (NFT distribution etc.) I just wished I loved the images more... The red stresses me out and the compositions on most of them feel rather 'photoshopped' and manipulated.

Damien Hirst, The Empresses H10, by Schrödinger's Chat on Jan 29, 2022 8:14:39 GMT 1, You can’t redeem the physical print after window closed. But does the NFT still exist and supported? And will the matching physical copy be destroyed like the currency? No - it is not an NFT of the Artwork. It is an NFT time-limited deed - after three years it will still be their on the palm blockchain but be obsolete. You are buying the right to collect one physical piece later (upto three years). After that your deed expires. Heni keep your allocation to sell to some other sucker. This will be the third time DH and Heni laugh all the way to the bank. Lots of NFT guys don’t want the hassle of storing a 1.4meter square wooden crate. They will have made money and written of the physical. Heni will have thousands of unclaimed editions to add to the pile of plastic and industrial waste choking the planet. God I really am on a rant - apologies.
I was wondering if they would only print on demand. They could have a pile of signed stickers ready to apply, but only make the physical copies once X number of orders are made. Could that work? Guess it might not be cost effective. Otherwise there is going to be a warehouse full of these things somewhere.
It's probably stated elsewhere in his thread but the NHS and Fruitful/forever prints only had printed signatures stuck on the back (although you wouldn't believe it if you look at the ebay listing), whereas this is an actual signature by the sound of things.

For me, this is the proper use of an NFT.
Once the current fad for novelty animal jpegs is over, NFTs/blockchain will predominantly be used for issuing receipts.much easier than COAs being issued (take note Pest Control), owenership can be tracked with ease and, perhaps most importantly, the artist etc. can siphon of their percentage each time the NFT is transferred via a sale.
I don’t deny that the art is cool and very hangable, I view this release as HENI very much experimenting with a new way of controlling/managing/manipulating flippers.
Hirst’s art is one thing, his business mind (or the business minds of those surrounding him) is something else entirely.
For me, this is the dawn of a new era. Large galleries/successful artists will watch and learn from this release.
I’m done with NFTs that do not have a physical item attached. The insider trading that went on around the Edgar Plans release cemented my view that the current use of the technology is a Ponzi-scheme.
Well played,HENI/Hirst.
Ps Sadly, I don’t have the cash available to be buying into this at the moment 😞

It will most likely have some utility for holders down the line. E.g holders of the currency already received the GE airdrop, free DH exclusive merch and priority on Heni releases.
No one can predict the future of course but Heni and Palm seem to be building something exciting imo.

“ The HENI Editions NFT Deed is a new category of NFTs offered by HENI, which are different to NFT drops by artists. These are utility NFTs provided by HENI which serve the specific purpose of delaying receipt of the physical and enabling ease of trading. There are no additional utilities or perks associated with this type of NFT.”

This is not true. Yesterday on discord the moderator confirmed to me that after 3 years the NFT becomes a normal token like any other NFT. You will be able to sell it, trade it, etc. Consequently it can have a different value from the print. The final edition will be the sum of sold nft+physics. But when people don't redeem the physical copy, the nft will still have the final print run forever, even if there will be many less in circulation.
