Prints & Multiples Auction House Preference, by sandworm on Jan 29, 2022 19:34:43 GMT 1, I haven't previously sold at auction but have a few pieces that I'd be looking to sell in an upcoming auction that I would assume are valued at somewhere between £2-8k each.
I would prefer to deal with one of the top tier houses if possible: Christies, Sothebys & Philips
Is there any reason to go with one over the other for prints & multiples?
I am concerned that maybe these auction houses only accept 'lower' value pieces (sub £10k) for good customers that consign higher value lots / have built a reputation with them?
Any advice would be much appreciated.
