I myself has no chance at paying 2k for a Banksy, Neate, Micallef or Walker. I still want the prints. So if I had the chance at buying a print at cost I would go for it anyday!
I basically only buy what I like and want on my wall. But with a wery restricted economy I cant go for the crazy secondary market prices.
So I dont see the problem with buying something to get the hold of stuff you like even more!
Most people here have done some pretty sweet deals from selling stuff they bought at cost sometime!
The only problem I see with this is to offer them up BEFORE they are recieved and before you even have got the chance at looking at the print! You can atleast wait untill you have it in hand!
I wanted the Vandal Air too! But woke up too late!

But I feel there there used to be an unwritten rule here that you didn't immediately try and flip things here and if you did you got hammered. Recently however it seems to be more acceptable - not sure if that's simply because people just can't be bothered to fight it anymore or they are just bored of posting the same thing. But I do worry that this board is turning more and more into a sales tool for flippers and I don't think that's good for it's future. We've now got the situation where flippers back each other up saying it's OK and the people who don't like it have gone much quieter. And when they do take a stand against it they get the old "yawn" comment. Do you really want this bard to be full of ads reselling prints that sold yesterday for 10x the price? - cos that is where this is leading...

It dont take a genius to figure out that queuing 30 odd hours and selling something for 4 times you bought it is a no-brainer. If it clears a few bills for them and well .... unfortunately its the way it is.
2 other guyz and myself we in a caf f-5ing like torpedoes - the 1st came and went, the second came and went but I saw the elusive 'buy now' button before the dreaded time out thing happened. I was gutted - love the plane print & it looks even better in the flesh. So, how people can sell the Life's 2 Short or the others b4 they even get it is beyond me - but they queued 30odd hours and they'll do what they want to.

Many galleries will try to avoid reselling to these people if they know who they are.

My issue is not with him selling, that's his right, so much as trying to use this forum to sell it, when it's probably this forum that provided him the info to get it in th first place. If it's on ebay, no need to post here. In fact there's no need to post here at all. He can still make his profit, but choose to allow the forum at leat some integrity in how he goes about it. This is just taking the p!ss and treating other members like mugs!! People who want the print will look on ebay, so just list it there without rubbing peoples' noses in it. Anyone buying or trading for this dude's Walkers should see it as their duty to inform BRP the print number and all known details and contacts of the original owner. That way you're chances of getting the next one at source may improve slightly! The more flippers are reported to the publishers, the better every genuine art buyer's chances are at source next time.

hang on a minute ... so if you've already got a 'Confessions' why, in response to my PM, have you asked for my Faile Confessions AND an unsigned Banksy in exchange for V for Vandal? (By the way it's a big NO) I was willing to swap one or the other but it's clear from this that you're taking the p*ss out of me
