There seems to have been some confusion about the Borf piece among writers. As you can see from the below excerpt from Instagram, Rekaone believed that someone had simply buffed a throwie by Jade (who passed away prior).
I - along with several others - then pointed out that it was the work of Borf, and Castor Gallery confirmed that the whole piece, including the throwies, had been created by Borf.
The misunderstanding was cleared up in this case, but there may be others who are still under the impression that it was either a "shitty buff attempt" or that Borf had gone over Jade.

Lots of Galleries in the 20โs off the Highline (Jonathan LeVine, Jacob Lewis, Taglialatellia, Gagosian, Steven Kasher, Joshua Liner, etc.). Just walk the streets between 10th & 11th Aves.

In other news, Paul Richard has a pop up show at 178 Prince St today (Sunday) from 1-5PM (it was on Fri&Sat as well). Not your typical aesthetic though he is very much a street artist. Been doing it for a long time, recently with drip paintings on the sidewalk. He seems to eschew the fine art world & commercial environments, showing sporadically at best. This show is at a non-profit gallery. If there's been another show in recent past I don't know about it. I found this show serendipitously earlier while walking around SOHO. Excited I caught it. He is a very strange man. I took a couple pics I'll upload if anyone wants. Sh*t any other fans out there?

During a quick trip to NYC Hendrik Beikirch aka ECB painted this fresh wrap-around piece in Bushwick, Brooklyn. Following his recent travels and artist residency to Marrakech, Morocco ECB was inspired by the street traders of Morocco, in which here he has painted portraits of these vendors โ one image photo realistic and the other a distorted โfictionalโ portrait. These images are part of an ongoing series that he has been creating to at the Montresso Foundation bringing light to the traders whose livelihood is in danger of extinction.

After months of renovations by Goldman Properties, the new and improved Bowery Wall has been unveiled. On Friday, noted billboard liberator and POPaganda painter Ron English will begin embellishing the legendary location that has featured the very public work of dozens of artists, some done without permission, over the decades. English offered a tease on his website of what is sure to be a very loud mural. Stay tuned.
