20 colours seems about right to my eyes.
A possible source of confusion with David Shrigley is the basic nature of most of his whimsical paintings in acrylic.
The simplicity of those originals is often in stark contrast to the technical difficulties of faithfully reproducing them in the form of screenprints. This, as opposed to taking the easy path and resorting to giclée printing or offset lithography.
Try zooming in and checking out the actual number of colours on display.
For the blue text alone, there looks to have been four or five different screens required to achieve the gradients:
The artisanship involved here does impress me.
It also inspires me, because I love the idea of disproportionate efforts being put into the creation process — efforts that will inevitably go unnoticed and unrecognised by the average viewer, even if they happen to be an art enthusiast.

Interesting choice of timings by Jealous… Let's be honest they aren't going to go hunting around the venue for people that came in before 4pm and kick them out. I would think you can stay as long as you want they just try and stagger the entry times to avoid overcrowding on the door. |

I suspect the queue will be outside so as to not piss off the stuffy galleries. You'll have to show ticket to get to stand... |
