Assuming they have 5,000 ready made and waiting 😉 I would suspect they might not have the full batch, I mean imagine the manufacturing cost of 5,000? Did they outlay all that before the release? Or did they get a sample batch made, and now they have the orders, it will go into full production. Maybe? Just speculation. If they have 5,000 ready packed up and ready for delivery 👏🏻 Well done! |

Yeah not sure, the 20 business days was referring to a post on the musart ig stories that stated that it may take up to 10 business days to verify the order and then 10 business days to prepare to ship. I am hoping they already made the batch. There are some companies like ddtstore that have an anticipated ship date for their launches that are months out that may factor in time for manufacturing. |

Complete opposite for me and at least wo others. We got the confirmation e-mail right away, but 24hrs later, still nothing in the account.
I know that mine has been paid, got the VISA mail.

Sorry in hindsight I wished I had ordered two so I could have passed one on at cost to one of the members here, I am always super grateful for help here and knowledge on releases and updates. Have a nice weekend people and well done to any Invader fans who scored one.

Perfectly illustrates my issue with the invader sculpture. Paying $500 for the name on a sculpture you can essentially pick up on any man-child website for $20. I know thats a huge over simplification but outside of his Rubix Cubism project, not sure what would work as sculpture. I've got a few of his books and a couple of maps but I just don't see the value in having one of these vinyl figures in my home.
Just pick up a map instead.

I wouldn't say I view his work as just decor. I fully appreciate invaders work as a street artist, I'm on board with the themes that run through his work like how digital devices change our perception of realty, his show at Lazarides in 2009 was a great example of this and similarly, his street "invasion waves" having changed public spaces in 30 different countries just shows how universal that theme is. we live in a digital world after all. So why I appreciate his street art and gallery work, personally I don't see the artistic value of this sculpture. Having said that, it sold out an edition of 5000 straight away so what the hell do I know
