INVADER - New website www.invader-kits.com, by STP on Nov 18, 2022 12:31:07 GMT 1, I would say โฌ20/25k. And an art gallery would sell it for approx โฌ40k. Thanks, I had no idea IK4's were worth that kind of money, might be parting with mine soon...

Iโm looking to start moving some of my collection on - kits, prints, books and bits and pieces like the spaceballs - collected since 2003.
I was going to start with an IK5 but unsure on prices to be looking for in kits having seen this. Any suggestions for an IK5 still sealed?

I am just saying that the Kits are a bit less expensive ( since 1 year with the crisis ) thnat 2 or 3 years ago ( I had offers of 25, cash)... But as I read here and there - ebay, forums ), it's not the same that Invader Anonymous is telling there... There is a thread on here about last Invader at Digard auctions, have a look on it ..
Even Dran did not sell...
And Invader results now
Kit 14 opened, lost 5k in comparison wiht the unopened ones ! Only 10000 euros instead of 15/18 k

INVADER - New website www.invader-kits.com, by Archives Gallery on Dec 1, 2022 18:51:04 GMT 1, Nobody is buying these kits at the 20k price point. The current fair market on them is 10-15k USD. You might be able to get a little more if you have space shop docs + original space shop packaging, but it is extremely hard to find works with full provenance. We would suggest everyone with full provenance to hold on to their works. They will perform well down the line, especially whenever the edition market picks back up. If you do not have the right provenance, might be a good idea to sell, because based on eBay activity, the number of fakes is increasing significantly, and being sold off for 5-7k USD. Hurts the overall market.

INVADER - New website www.invader-kits.com, by nipper on Dec 1, 2022 19:15:02 GMT 1, Thanks for the info.
Iโm the original purchaser for virtually everything I have and have packaging and included stickers etc as well as emails including order confirmations and conversations with Orbi for the kits and maps and earlier books and same for POW on some prints.
Itโll be a new world as I have not sold anything before. Just bought and collected for the art - albeit most has not made the wall.

IK5 should be bought 10-15โฌk by galleries, depending on the docs you have etc. Still many fakes at auction, and also most probably at Digard.

3 or 5 months ago, this summer, I had an offer cash of 25 K euros for the signed kit 14 ( before Ukraine war ) . Hey, I bought it on the Space shop so I have all what we need from full provenance ( mails, bill, etc... ) , cardboard with pink Invader tape, etc..
And you are wrong too : You send yours photos of your kit to Orbi .and they will make a pleasure to answer to you.
I sold years ago the Paris one ( I regret him of course ) , I have sent photos to Orbi, etc etc and they told me it was a good one. So you can have full provenance.
I reckon that the prices ( all the artists are impacted by the crisis ) may have a bit down, but a kit is a kit, more precious than a print and easy to keep mint.

INVADER - New website www.invader-kits.com, by Archives Gallery on Dec 1, 2022 20:21:19 GMT 1, We have tried to reach Orbi for over a year now. No response. That is the same case for a lot of other auction houses that we have good relationships with - they have been unable to get a response as well. The larger problem is, as the amount of fakes keep increasing, and with no prominent structure in place to verify authenticity on the kits, the works will take a hit. The amount of inconsistencies we see simply between different editions of the same kit is astonishing. Not saying they will go down in value or be depreciating assets, just wonโt appreciate as much as they have had historically. Again, if you have full provenance, the price you may be able to get for a kit may be slightly higher.
The offer from 3-5 months ago isnโt too applicable anymore. Its a completely different market now.
That said, if anyone thinks its rather straightforward to get these authenticated, would be happy to sell a few sealed kits in our inventory for 12-13k USD. Easy money to be made there if you can get them double checked by Orbi and resell them for a premium.

Maybe Orbi do not want to answer to galeries. to sellers/flippers too ( he hates that ). i donโt speak about you of course. anyway I have had a lot correspondance with Orbi. The first /best proofs of authenticity are the bag, lettering, printing, colors, etc Thatโs why maybe opened kits are less valuable 9n the market. to finish, maybe American collectors are not so much collectors as French ones ( my offer came from 2 French ). Even Uk. i donโt know but 12/13 k$ seems really underrated. It was the prices 4 years ago. maybe taxes ( 20 % ) and shipping are worrying potential buyers i donโt know. thank you !
