WTB Micallef (Banksy or Faile considered), by They call me Stephen on Apr 24, 2008 16:40:26 GMT 1, Hoping some of you guys can give me some much needed advice here.
My girlfriend and myself have decided to splash out on a print for ourselves as a mutual anniversary present within the next month (god knows how I managed to manage that!...the print idea, not the girlfriend). 
Weโve set ourselves a budget of ยฃ1000 to spend and ideally want something by Micallef, Banksy or Faile in that order of preference. We both really like Antony Micallefโs work especially heโs prints with use of colour. Unfortunately my girlfriend has put her foot down on anything with excessive weaponry as sheโs not so keen on that ruling out Uzi Lover 1&2 along with many others!
What prints do you think I could potentially get within that brief and budget?? Iโd really like something like; Happy Fucked Up Nuclear Gir, Antony Micallef My Walk In Harajuku,Ranibow Kid or No One Understands Me but fully understand that some of these might be well out of my budget.
If any of you guys have any recommendations or are selling any of these itโd be most helpful.

NOUM might be within budget, but are you sure you want to overlook his black and white images? You should be able to get GIWTBB and a Faile for 1k for example. My honest advice is to enjoy the experience of looking for yourself. A kid in a sweet shop scenario. Much more fun.
Also you can check out ebay, but look at what people have for sale here and on Wallk and y. You should be able to find some gargains for your money.

I think a 'No One Understands Me' would be ideal so it's a case of trying to find one at the right price. I suspect 'Happy f**ked Up Nuclear Girl' and 'My Walk In Harajuku' are out of our budget but NOUM is a lovely image so that's not necessarily bad news.
I think if we were to get a Banksy it would probably be a grannies. So much to think about, I need another anniversary to feed my print habit!

I know it is a large edition and not considered his most desirable print, but GIWTBB is STUNNING in the flesh. And it is huge! It makes an incredible focal point in any room.
