Banksy in Kiev, Ukraine ๐บ๐ฆ, by Daniel Silk on Dec 4, 2022 15:37:24 GMT 1, If this action can help economically the owners of the house, I think the artist will be happy It's an interesting thought. Obviously everyone there is struggling day to day, so if any of these Banksy pieces were cut out and sold to help ease things, would Banksy fans around the world be angry? Of would they understand? Would other Ukrainians be supportive of a piece being sold?

Banksy in Kiev, Ukraine ๐บ๐ฆ, by JW on Feb 22, 2023 23:19:53 GMT 1,
Paintings on the ruins of Ukrainian buildings by British graffiti artist Banksy have received new protections.
The artworks have been covered by shockproof glass, in the hope that they will survive any further damage brought on by Russia's bombardments.
The artist is believed to have painted the murals, including in Borodyanka, just outside Kyiv, in November last year.
Borodyanka was heavily damaged during Russia's attempt to capture the capital in February, when it was subjected to air strikes and artillery shelling. With the area blockaded, civilians faced starvation until Ukrainian forces recaptured the area in April.
Four murals in his signature style were spotted in total on damaged buildings in and around Kyiv, including one depicting a gymnast doing a handstand amid debris.

Banksy in Kiev, Ukraine ๐บ๐ฆ, by lukas01 on Sept 22, 2023 9:36:48 GMT 1, The war is spreading to Azerbaijan and Armenia. Within the next 24 months the conflict could be much more widespread. And it could concern part of Europe such as Greece, Romania, Albania, etc. If we do not intervene immediately with a great mobilization for Peace by Citizens, this ongoing conflict could explode into a global conflict of interests.
Art moves consciences.

Can't work out whether this is a ChatGPT glitch.
Or perhaps just interference from a parallel universe with a reality of its own.
I do however fancy the idea of an immediate intervention (using only mild and definitely non‑nuclear force) with a great mobilisation for peace by citizens.
We should organise a march or something in Ajerbaijan. With giant banners. And where everybody gets a whistle or a pair of maracas to make a load of noise.
My MP is already on side, at least partly. She agreed 100% when I pressed her and insisted peace was better than war. That said, she also point‑blank refused to table this motion in Parliament.
You can never really trust politicians; they're such a slippery bunch, only in it for themselves.
People should talk more and fight less in places like Ukraine.
What we really need is a completely new system with fewer experts. One that's more democratic and suitable for the whole planet โ so we can at the same time keep the Chinese and the cartels in check, and deal with recycling and things.
Maybe like a co‑op.

Banksy in Kiev, Ukraine ๐บ๐ฆ, by Jules Leotard on Sept 23, 2023 5:52:06 GMT 1, The war is spreading to Azerbaijan and Armenia. The thermidore reaction to the post-Cold War era. I think this is a legitimate conflict. Don't misunderstand me, I don't agree with conflict, aggression, and violence, but void of a world with two clearly defined poles (West-East) I think these are going to pop-up all over the place in response to the Russian-Ukraine conflict. Taiwan-China has so dominated the news recently, the most concerning one (which I haven't seen a single new article about) is Kashmir and the Hindu Kush. Probably the most important water supply in the world. Climate change is going to press that one forward in the near-term.
There are more ethnic-territorial disputes in need of resolution than there are intellectuals to peacefully resolve them.
The funny (not funny) bit is that at some point in the next century, China is going to take a big bite out of Russian territory. Russia has its eyes in the wrong direction.

Exactly. My concern arises precisely from your own consideration and in reference to the areas affected by the Cold War. Poland, Italy and other nations have been affected in some way by these events. If in the territories where there were "balancing" problems in the past (Russia / America / Cold War) we begin to fight again, then the issue can become worrying again, very hot and current.
We hope that things can be resolved for the good of the populations.

Banksy in Kiev, Ukraine ๐บ๐ฆ, by Jules Leotard on Oct 8, 2023 7:39:57 GMT 1, It looks like 'kick-off' has commenced in Israel-Palestine. Thoughts and prayers to all those and their families that are impacted. I would hope for a quick resolution and an everlasting peace, but I'm not as much a fool as I once was. Should we start a separate thread for that conflict?

Thoughts and prayers to all those and their families that are impacted. I would hope for a quick resolution and an everlasting peace, but I'm not as much a fool as I once was. Should we start a separate thread for that conflict? Unfortunately, someone here, as soon as I talked about war and problems of democratic stability in areas previously destabilized (also by the Cold War), literally took me for an idiot (or almost). The scenario that unfolded in Israel on Saturday, I doubt will be short-lived. Open a new thread?... Nobody wants to understand how important Peace is. In 6 weeks, when the conflict begins, the global economy will also feel the repercussions. The increase in raw materials will bring growing difficulties of various kinds in some countries. The dollar will fall significantly and the economic disruption will push the country into a full-blown technical recession. The price of gold will skyrocket, as has never been seen before. All on the skin of the citizens... of the People. What a terrible world this was to befall us.
Hugs wherever you are in the world, and stay safe with your family (now or in the future). Nothing could be the same as before.
