Big and pink Harland (and other pieces), by cc13 on Dec 21, 2022 23:49:32 GMT 1,
We’ve been out of our home for 4 months for a full back to the shell refurb so the majority of the art I’ve been buying has been hung for the first time in the last few days. Flanked by a couple of lovely Nick Smiths, this big beast is by some margin my biggest acquisition. The photo really does no justice to just how imposing it is in real life, and the wife and I are delighted with it. Please pardon the temporary pendants!!

Big and pink Harland (and other pieces), by cc13 on Dec 22, 2022 17:54:05 GMT 1, On the stairs, we have more Hirst…
Virtues Loyalty one side and Fruitful and Forever opposite…
I thought the Virtues would be more imposing than it is. It almost feels a bit small here. Let’s see whether this is its final home!

Big and pink Harland (and other pieces), by cc13 on Dec 22, 2022 17:59:32 GMT 1, sleazus1slord Thank you. Right now I don’t think I have any hung. I’m hoping to pick up my Ernest Zacharevic from the framers tomorrow (discussed in another thread), which I’m sure will make the wall. I’m never quite sure where the line for “street art” begins and ends, but I have a Beejoir Imodium that I’m going to frame and hang as a sly riposte to the amount of Hirst I seem to have acquired.

Big and pink Harland (and other pieces), by Horatio Nelson on Dec 22, 2022 20:40:05 GMT 1, On the stairs, we have more Hirst… Virtues Loyalty one side and Fruitful and Forever opposite… I thought the Virtues would be more imposing than it is. It almost feels a bit small here. Let’s see whether this is its final home! Just a thought - maybe the Virtues (I don’t own one myself so can’t be sure) works better in a living room or somewhere that it works like a view out of a window, as if looking out to a tree?
I do think it looks good on the staircase, but maybe if you feel it doesn’t quite work that could be why. Staircase art is tough - I’ve never found the right things to hang in the stairs.

Which Beejoir Imodium do you have? I'm on the hunt for one. I'm actively looking for a 20 or 48 but I'm not having any luck finding one. I might just settle for a 12.

If you are after a Beejoir, then contact Graffiti Prints first as they had a couple of Imodium 70 for £1,500 during their 10th Anniversary Show and not sure if both sold (and might have another tucked away). If you are after a Imodium 20 then there is one here for approx £1,700 - roarguns-store.com/collections/art/products/beejoir-imodium
Alternatively, they pop up at auction sometimes.
I’ve got a Imodium 70 next to a Currency and both work well together.
