Best street, urban and contemporary art cities, by ecudat on Dec 29, 2022 11:51:09 GMT 1, Hey everyone,
I'd love some travel inspiration to hidden gem cities or regions where I could take a trip that could include a day or 2 of seeing art. Includes street stuff, but also good urban, contemporary or street art galleries.
Dont include places that already have their own threads like London, Amsterdam, Berlin, Miami, Barcelona, NYC, Tokyo. I'm looking for the next tier of cities or regions. I'm UK based but they don't have to be European per se.
Excited to see what the forum can come up with!

Best street, urban and contemporary art cities, by John The Badgers on Dec 29, 2022 19:46:02 GMT 1, Can I suggest Manchester Educat?
Great city, plenty to see.
Spent a very enjoyable day tracking down the Invader street pieces a while ago, and the Northern Quarter has some excellent pieces.
I've not been, but there's also the Banksy exhibition on until the 8th January -

Best street, urban and contemporary art cities, by ecudat on Jan 2, 2023 9:35:55 GMT 1, Thanks for those ideas. I was aware of NuArt in Aberdeen. Any idea why they chose the city? Its not exactly huge, nor does it receive lots of visitors. I'd like to see the murals but it's a bit of a trek just to see them in a small city that doesn't have much else going on. (Forgive me if that isn't fair/accurate)
