So I do love invader, but his Rubik work is my least enjoyable of his material. The 4000 book was incredible and I could flick through it for hours.

I did not opened mine too. it’s beautiful art book too much beautiful art book as usual beautiful art book. i don’t know these pages a bit empty apart a rubikcubism artwork, with glossy paper… I have not been too much a fan of Rubik or seeing them in real : it’s more impressive ! Big pieces!

Regarding the cover, interesting that it's different- the first edition must be exhausted. Wondering if it's anything like the matte vinyl covers he did on the old invasion guides...

Invader Rubikcubist Book, by Masong on Mar 9, 2023 23:16:08 GMT 1, damn, wasn't quick enough Sold Out I don't understand why you ( or other members ) don't order it on Fnac.com Cheapest shipping from France. I guess that the bookstores/bookshops, will ask you the real price of a Colissimo...
I took your advice Lroy and bought from Fnac a few days ago thanks. I bought two and they arrived today. As someone else has said, not the best packaging, literally a book in a thin cardboard box. One was a bit dinked on a corner but that’s the one I’ve opened and will look at and put on the bookshelf. The other one will stay stashed with the rest of the compulsive disorder shite. I thought it was a good deal as it was only €95 for both Inc delivery to the UK.

The isbn of the book available on fnac is different than the first edition (ends in 3 instead of 2). Invader has indicated on his site " mat cover ", it means that it's also the second edition ( as I read here that first was glossy and the second one will be mat )... Anyway, it does not really matter as it's a big edition and the book is more a blockbuster instead some previous ones.

What is incredible is that Fnac is the most cultural and intellectual shop, and their services suck, worse than a seller of goodies or tats made in Taiwan (and they are better than them in packaging)! The motto of Fnac (born in the 1950s) was "the cultural agitator" (in reference at may 68)...
They are much changed now and look more like book and CD supermarkets.
" Fnac holds "forums" throughout the year, which are opportunities for customers to have dialogue with people such as Pedro Almodóvar, George Lucas, and David Cronenberg, discussions with authors including Paul Auster, Pierre Bourdieu, and Françoise Giroud in addition to concerts. Musicians playing in these concerts have included Yann Tiersen, Ben Harper, Keane and David Bowie. "...
Better in communication I guess than in selling goods.

Could have been contractual.

I wasn’t accusing you. I was rejoicing in the fact that we all love to speculate about little things like this.

Invader Rubikcubist Book, by bba on Mar 12, 2023 5:53:42 GMT 1, Is Invader using French Post to ship these? Artoyz have used DHL who have used incorrect classification and miscalculated fees, as usual. Regardless of the fact they state that they use Colissimo Expert International on their site and on order. Anyone who has to deal (suffer) with DHL on a regular basis will know how much of a living hell it is. If I had known they use DHL I simply wouldn't have bothered. Paying way over the odds for a 40Euro book isn't what I had hoped for here.

Actually, I don’t know how you “sent it” as a matter of fact, you gave me very little information period. No tracking info, no carrier info, no photo of an addressed package, you didn’t even give me your name. When I shipped your gift it was addressed to your screen name “Bba” WTF? Very mysterious. I know you are not responsible for my postal service but neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night prevented the good ol’ USPS from getting you your package delivered in under two weeks on the other side of the globe with just three random letters for a name. It’s funny that you know so much about Invaders shipping service and so little about your own. Sure you apologized (but did you really?) and said you would have to “search your collection for something else”, of course you would say that. “I spat my dummy out” when I agreed to do a gift exchange with you. To be clear I am not doing myself a disservice, I’m actually doing the forum a service by letting everyone know I didn’t get the gift you said “shipped out” a week before I sent mine. You see this is how it works here. They are called “trusted forum members” you are new here and so far, not so much. So…speaking of “trying it on” if the shoe fits. For all I know you might be lying. The part of me being difficult is believing you actually sent a gift. Try not to confuse me being difficult for me being honest.
The forum is losing its appeal faster than sand in a hourglass.
I see Lroy liked your post cue the Randy Newman Toy Story song…

You see this is how it works here. They are called “trusted forum members” you are new here and so far, not so much. So…speaking of “trying it on” if the shoe fits. For all I know you might be lying. The part of me being difficult is believing you actually sent a gift. Try not to confuse me being difficult for me being honest. The forum is losing its appeal faster than sand in a hourglass. I see Lroy liked your post cue the Randy Newman Toy Story song… I wasn't going to bother replying but I just wanted to record more of your crybaby nonsense for posterity's sake, seeing as you have edited it about 6 times already and will more than likely delete, like you do your usual spats. As for my name, well, those are my initials. I highly doubt you would even be able to spell or pronounce my name properly. If you don't like it here then you know what to do... to infinity and beyond... Lots of love, Bee X

Invader Rubikcubist Book, by thrash822 on Mar 13, 2023 20:53:53 GMT 1, Received my book today ordered from FNAC to USA ... the box was not sealed and found on my step opened already ... somehow the book itself is in great shape. I think that's the definition of luck haha. For the low shipping cost, the shoe fits!
