10FOOT 🇬🇧 Print Release • London Graffiti • Street Art , by Lroy on Mar 10, 2024 20:20:10 GMT 1, Corners are distracting to the eye which is a shame when you want the art to do the talking. Maybe some should contact 10foot or Cl. to tell that...

10FOOT 🇬🇧 Print Release • London Graffiti • Street Art , by Acme Thunderer on Mar 10, 2024 21:30:21 GMT 1, I’m impressed they only charged £199 for a welded metal frame. I have industrial metal/wood furniture that this will complement so I’m happy with this choice. In person, it will look different than on a photo and I like that the frame will change in the light.
If this is how 10foot wanted it to be displayed then I trust him. 🙌

The corners are definitely catching the light in that first pic which is why i took those other two...not as glaring as in that first one, blends in much better like the second/third pic show
That being said, people can be particular about framing! For me, having something the artist designed/wanted to put around his image makes it all a lot easier. The frame becomes part of the piece.
Anyway, up on the wall now, hope those who ordered enjoy it!

10FOOT 🇬🇧 Print Release • London Graffiti • Street Art , by thisisthesam on Mar 11, 2024 13:22:01 GMT 1, I think the framing looks great. I have seen another framed and they certainly differ a little. The framing adds to the print imo. How did you pick yours up so early. Fair play! Can we see a pic on the wall also please? I wonder how this needs to be secured to the wall also, without taking half your house with it. where did you see the other one out of interest please?

I like the two parties : one side the framing is not top - I thought first too that was the protection for the corners… And it's a bit worrying. In the other side, well 10foot has his reasons, and he is the artist, and, well, why not ? Old school, vintage aspect. Part of the artwork ! One thing is sure the framing costs a lot. I am agree with both sides.

10FOOT 🇬🇧 Print Release • London Graffiti • Street Art , by zoomrider on Mar 11, 2024 20:40:45 GMT 1, Interesting to see people's views on it, but for me it’s a lot of money to part with & I just can't help feeling really disappointed. Respect your opinion and totally get it might be a lot of money depending on your circumstances but commenting on art market value alone, a fully framed low edition print from a highly sought after/iconic street artist for approx £500 is a no brainer. There are (typically low ball) offers of £750 for the print alone on FairArt already.
Regardless whether any of these get flipped at inflated prices, Im looking to hang mine as think it looks incredible. Aside I also happen to really like the frame. I have fortunately now heard from Actually with an Invoice and offered the print alone since requesting it ships. I can’t wait to receive it!

Call me old fashioned, but I want a print I like in a frame I like. I'm not buying to flip, I was steered into paying more for a frame that has turned out (on pictures seen) to be a huge disappointment. Telling me about resale prices is of no help, or relevance. I'll have to see if they can change the frame or something.

If £500 isn't a lot of money to spend at the drop of a hat then you're in a very privileged position indeed. Make no mistake about that. Whoa. Hold your horses. This place is wild for attitude. I was talking in general. This is the same forum people drop 10s of thousands on a Banksy print or £25k on a production line Heni Hirst original after all. £500 including a frame/museum glass etc is more than a fair price if you ask me. Professional framing is not cheap. I was pointing out that plenty others would value it greatly. Nobody is forcing you to buy anything. The fact you were going to drop £500 blind yourself means you too are in a fortunate position. Email them and say you’d prefer not to have the frame. As buyer you have rights and regardless, im sure they will dutifully oblige.

this is a "collectors art forum"
complaining about 500 gbp for a framed print is nonsense !
specially when talking about an outstanding print from a true artist, when people are spending hundreds/thousand on poster or mass produced vinyl toy.
what the hell are we talking about??

I love collecting and enjoying this community and art world as much as the people dropping £kk’s but for me.. I’ve never been in a position to drop that on a print before.
Regarding the other point in question however, I sometimes think we are quick to jump to the defensive and argue in the space, I do hope no one takes it personally though.

As I said above, the poster was specifically quote replying to me, so your point about other people spending larger sums on works by other artists, isn't relevant.
Just because one person can afford 10s of thousands on a work by one artist, doesn't mean another can afford £500 on a work by a different artist.
I appreciate I am very lucky to have been able to get that money together at short notice, this doesn't mean I should just accept a work I don't feel is up to standard.
Again, as I have said above, I will speak to them when they contact me about pickup- that's obviously better than posting on here, which will ultimately achieve nothing. I am sure something positive can be arranged and will be happy to let UAA know how things go.
The print is great, I hope everyone that got one enjoys it, and those who like the proposed frame enjoy that too. After all, it was only a recommendation, and will look different in photos and under certain light.
I am sure it's all going to be fine.

If you’re disappointed I think you need to contact them and say you don’t like the frame and save/get refunded the £198. Im sure they will oblige and you can get framed how you’d like. The frame orders were given priority but not mandatory. I’m getting my Red unframed and shipped. Despite a lack of reply initially, they have since been very helpful.
I accept your apology also. Glad we can be adults around here.

It will be interesting to see their response if you do get in touch. Let us know what they say. Might give them a nudge on how they do the rest.

10FOOT 🇬🇧 Print Release • London Graffiti • Street Art , by Lroy on Mar 12, 2024 12:47:37 GMT 1, " a true artist ", "real collectors ", grown men " , " Glad we can be adults around here" , etc ...
Just an opinion : I am a bit shocked with some moralists comments since weeks on here ! We are in 2024, we are fighting against patriarchy, machism, wars, Trump, we are not in a private club, as the Rotary one, with big cigars, a bit of modesty and talking liberty, fraternity an equality would be fine around here, also, I think.
Nietzsche wrote in Thus Spoke Zarathushtra :
"In a real man there is a child hidden: it wants to play. Up then, you women, and discover the child in man!
Said with humility and no muscles. Peace.

10FOOT 🇬🇧 Print Release • London Graffiti • Street Art , by drip on Mar 12, 2024 13:37:13 GMT 1, Nietzsche wrote in Thus Spoke Zarathushtra : "In a real man there is a child hidden: it wants to play. Up then, you women, and discover the child in man!" I get what he was saying, but Nietzsche's obviously never tried to show his massive Star Wars toy collection to a woman. Or get one to push him on a swing in the park. In my experience, women HATE it when they discover the child within the man. But it is a nice sentiment and we should all exercise our inner child as often as possible or allowed.
But nothing dries up a potential sexual partner like the words, mint-in-box, limited edition, careful - you're creasing it, or crypto.
Despite some of the cardiac arrest-inducing prices thrown about on here, we shouldn't take things too seriously or to heart. We have a finite lifespan and we're on an online art forum, how cool can we be?

10FOOT 🇬🇧 Print Release • London Graffiti • Street Art , by thisisthesam on Mar 12, 2024 13:43:38 GMT 1, update for those who got one...
RIGHT. We are pirates trying to operate a passenger ferry. It's chaotic but you'll realise that the Bahamas beat Brixham. And either which way clocks are the enemy of utopia. The bounty is yours and our word is our word, so if you've been allocated a print then don't worry, it's coming. Everything is about two weeks from being sorted. Around that time we will organise a 'pick up point' (most likely in East London). Hold tight and we will field all collection questions once everything is ready. Please don't panic as, talking of Disintegration, this admin is putrifying our ADHD minds. Watch this in the meantime. Cheers, ACTUALLY
Feeling more at ease now after radio silence - looking forward to getting my hands on it!
