10FOOT ๐ฌ๐ง Print Release โข London Graffiti โข Street Art , by Onket on Mar 29, 2024 18:39:19 GMT 1, This could be an option. The aged metal sections of the frame look great. Is it detachable from the wooden part of the frame? If it is, it would make the job a lot easier and then could be left outside and it will start to rust in days Possibly, but I'm not going to mess around with it tbh.

10FOOT ๐ฌ๐ง Print Release โข London Graffiti โข Street Art , by Lroy on Mar 29, 2024 19:05:33 GMT 1, from 10foots IG I went for blue but red looks lovely! OK, opened it now. It looks like this one so no need for more pics. Amazing print, such a shame about the corners of the frame. Had hoped it'd look better in the flesh. It doesn't. It's going on the wall anyway, so maybe it'll grow on me, if not I'll get it reframed one day. Yes, the corners...
We need a roundabout, turns to the left or to the right ?...
To conlude, maybe these corners are a part of the arwork too... That"s what I would tell myself ! ;-) Put the print in a dark room or focalise on the print itself !...
Yes the graffiti tag of 10foot are great too : flashy colors..
And yes I would like also to meet you yesterday night in an underground way, my two friends Onket and Acme Thunderer
Love your story !

10FOOT ๐ฌ๐ง Print Release โข London Graffiti โข Street Art , by Lroy on Mar 29, 2024 19:09:37 GMT 1, If I had one, I think I would get the angle grinder out and sand it all down, then let it naturally rust the same all over Angle grinder ? wow, we have to be expert professional ... You can paint on them with removable acrylic, it's more simply no ?

I think sanding off the rest of the frame the same as the bodged corners will be the only thing to give it an even patina, as close to what the artist had in mind.

10FOOT ๐ฌ๐ง Print Release โข London Graffiti โข Street Art , by Devizes /\_/\ on Mar 30, 2024 14:45:51 GMT 1, Canโt u just use sandpaper ? Why not ! Honestly, anyone who starts rubbing these down with anything wants sectioning. Ive ordered some stuff that will blacken the bare steel back to how it should be, will let you know what happens when I get to pick mine up and put it on.

10FOOT ๐ฌ๐ง Print Release โข London Graffiti โข Street Art , by drip on Mar 30, 2024 15:11:58 GMT 1, You don't normally see folk happy to have rust and scuffing on their picture frames, much less willing to take an angle grinder to them, so this thread has been a refreshing change.

10FOOT ๐ฌ๐ง Print Release โข London Graffiti โข Street Art , by Arty Farty 15 on Mar 30, 2024 15:18:27 GMT 1, I think people are failing to see the irony. Unlike Banksy, when 10 foot and co graffiti around london it devalues the area and makes it look like a shithole.
When buyers put these prints on their walls it devalues your place and make your room look like a shitholeโฆ

They had to grind down the welds in the corners, a simple surface treatment after would have those shiny bits looking blackened, the same as the rest of it.

I spoke to the framers on Thursday asking if I could pick up next week (seeing as 10Foot said it was ready) I told them I had bought an additional frame for the silver one and they knew nothing about it ๐ Good job I didnโt arrange to meet up in a dodgy ally in east London last week, to then have to make another trip at a later date!

At the end of the day, framing is such a personal choice, what looks great to one person, looks shite to another, I think if anyone doesnโt like these just change it to your personal preference. Or put it in something completely different!

Just saying in myself that 10foot wanted that, maybe to help too a framer mate..
itโs funny but I think that you see less these corners on the big colored graft, than on the print with the character because more โworked โ and finalized..

10FOOT ๐ฌ๐ง Print Release โข London Graffiti โข Street Art , by Boost the goat on Mar 31, 2024 15:12:37 GMT 1, Everyday frame this frame that. If this were a Banksy release with this exact frame, the interpretation would have been โartistic masterpiece, Banksy has once again done it.Highlighting how societal systems can decay over time, just as metal deteriorates due to neglect, corruption, or lack of adaptation. This rust symbolises the challenges humanity faces, such as climate change, which demand continual maintenance and innovation to address effectively. Similar to rust on metal, these struggles can corrode the fabric of society if left unchecked, underscoring the importance of proactive measures and collective actionโ
And everyone would proudly hang up their prize with no mention of sanding down or allowing the frame to further decay.
Now I sound like some bitter person because I have none of my own, so I can't participate in the discussion! ๐๐

10FOOT ๐ฌ๐ง Print Release โข London Graffiti โข Street Art , by Onket on Mar 31, 2024 21:19:38 GMT 1, There's quite a few people on the thread talking about adapting/amending/changing the frame. Who cares. Everyone has got an opinion, and everyone like the print.

10FOOT ๐ฌ๐ง Print Release โข London Graffiti โข Street Art , by Acme Thunderer on Mar 31, 2024 21:34:43 GMT 1, I think itโs really healthy that the discussion is about how best people want to display as opposed to selling / resale prices (which there has been no mention of, or should be).
It seems that Actually have done a pretty good job at placing these in the hands in people who really wanted one to display on their wall. Every single person who I know that have got one (or getting one) is genuinely pumped.
I have to commend them for even meeting buyers in person (considering they are tagging most of London!) as they will remember these people for future releases if they have hassle free transactions and know they can be trusted.
