Etching with relief printing
Size, 12 1/2 x 8 7/8 inches (31.8 x 22.5 cm)

Signed by the artist on the front, numbered on the reverse

Created through a combination of etching and multiple layers of relief printing, Hz So Good is rich in texture and detail, evoking the cover of a well-read book. Each edition is accompanied by a signed and numbered edition of the updated and revised Harland Miller monograph, In Shadows I Boogie.
Artspace has a very limited number of these editions.
Launching in collaboration with Phaidon on February 23rd. This etching with relief printing is an edition inspired by Miller's oil painting of the same title, first exhibited at his solo exhibition, The French Letter Paintings, at White Cube, Paris 2021

Certainly wouldnโt have been my pick of his recent work to release as a print edition. Title is ok but also wonder how many will โgetโ it without spelling it out.

This is not as bad as Jonas' BBall, at least has some layers, but that's the current prices for "IN SHADOWS I BOOGIE" edition? Does the 'In Shadows I Boogie' print, the small one, run of 200 with the book have the same level of texture/layers to it that some of his bigger works have? I have had the privilege of seeing some of those, and can honestly say, they are about as close to actual oil/acrylic paintings as you can get within the medium of print imo. |

I for one would prefer Boogie over this but this is probably dur to my lack of the sophisticated taste. The print looks rich with all the layering but I just really don't like the image. You could pick any page from that book and it would be a no brainer print. Who is advising / decision making ? Harland? Phaidon? Manifold ? WC?

Always liked the 'In Shadows I Boogie' Phaidon release (one of my favourites of his), nice size, fantastic quality, looks great framed.
Like this new direction Mr Miller taking, have to give him credit to try and move away from his traditional book pieces, and try a new direction.
