Exactly. I was thinking a plexi covered cut-out on the back for the edition number.

Issue is if there's a fall or the frame breaks, that aperture is a weak point at the back even with plexi rather than a tougher board. Also, not that you'll get much light hitting the back but uneven uv bleaching may be a risk too. None of the reputable framers I know would ever advise it. Each to their own. |
