I found this on the street recently. This is in Brooklyn / Ditmas Park.
The sculpture sits inside a little marbled room cut to the size of the box and behind thick acrylic glass to make it survive a little longer. The level of labor put into this is really astonishing. Zoom in for details!!
Anyone know who the artist is?

Tbh, was a bit of detective work. You said it was in Ditmas Park area of Brooklyn and I could see in your photo the name โPuertaโ so with some google maps searching I found the restaurant La Puerta Roja that matched the image and thus able to get the exact location of the FDNY Callbox. Then on Instagram searched that location and nearby place tags and managed to find the artists post with the location tagged. Et voila!
