Daisy Parris Unique Prints , by ignition0 on May 18, 2023 18:03:59 GMT 1, Not sure who on this forum has come across Daisy Parris's work, but they are getting a bit of a buzz in the US and UK, helped along by their recent solo show at the Carl Freedman Gallery in Margate.
Counter Editions are launching 50 unique screenprints next Thursday. Looks like a low edition number and big scale prints.
We are thrilled to share that we will be launching a brand new series of unique prints by the phenomenal Daisy Parris next week.
A limited edition of 50 unique prints created from four screens oriented in different ways, sometimes overlaid multiple times, with each print made from variable combinations of colour. Additionally Parris directly intervened into the printing process, working directly on the paper to make rubbed and scratched marks and hand applied drips and runs of ink.
Sitting between her abstract painting studio practice and the repetitive mechanics of screen printing, this series of unique prints represents a new development for Parris which heralds an exciting beginning for the artist’s exploration of printed work.
We can't wait to share more about these incredible prints with you next week!

We bought a few canvas pieces from her 4 or so years ago.. her studio is fairly close to us so we popped down and browsed around as she helped us pick out some of her work. I wish her all the success she deserves...

The prints are pretty big and each one unique.

I interpreted it as a positive message.... maybe focussing on the "go"!
Most have sold now, which seems a pretty good outcome at this early stage.

I like these but I suspect many people, myself included, think the price tag is too high. |
