Banksy Show • Cut & Run • Glasgow , by lukas01 on Jun 19, 2023 13:47:51 GMT 1, I thought we would've seen more Polaroids by now. Next time, I'll apply to work inside the construction site. The only way to work with nice people... is to be able to afford to buy some souvenirs.
Nothing this time either. 🤦♂️ I remain with my hands folded. 🤷♂️
Until next time...

Banksy Show • Cut & Run • Glasgow , by ronanmc on Jun 19, 2023 16:02:39 GMT 1, There's more chat on here about what's available in the gift shop than the actual exhibition itself. Bit sad really. Majestic - Damn right! It's a sorry indictment. It was the same with Invader 'Rubikcubism' exhibition in Brussels. An amazing exhibition, but many people only seemed to be interested in begging for a cube, rather than going to see it.
I'm flying over tomorrow, and can't f-ing wait to see what he and his team have put together! The Gift Shop is a nice extra, but the show...

Banksy Show • Cut & Run • Glasgow , by Londown 01 on Jun 19, 2023 16:09:04 GMT 1, Hey guys,
shipping to the EU for these was 10, seems that now it is 20 pounds: I ordered a few extra in case somebody is after one (or as gifts to friends). Not going to make it to the exhibition so this is the best I can do. Send me a PM if you'd like one.
-- Price = Cost (4.- Euro) + shipping; total should not exceed 10 Euro
- EU only - (would like 1 per member) - payable when member receives package per PayPal (should ship in a couple of weeks) - condition: don't know, but I guess will arrive folded - don't expect this but if something happens with the shipment I will "cancel" the order
Best

Banksy Show • Cut & Run • Glasgow , by bastonly on Jun 19, 2023 19:25:04 GMT 1, Well we just came back from Glasgow and here is a quick review.
First I want to thank you Beau for giving us the opportunity to see the show on Sunday. As some mentioned, you might miss something if you go there to visit a 5 sqm shop. Thank you Banksy and all the people involved to let us delve into the intimacy of the artist’s life and to explore the inner working of his creative process. I will not say anything more about the exhibition but it was worth taking a flight from Paris ! Glasgow is a great city, full of energy. We met nice and kind people. The Arches and local galleries deserve a look. Plus there are some strip clubs in town.
Cheers

Banksy Show • Cut & Run • Glasgow , by Knowss on Jun 19, 2023 19:25:37 GMT 1, Jps its no cameras, old work and the public is allowed in tomorrow... so there are no queues Like said, this is pzy , not JPS. And exactly like written in my post, boring old works, nothing new. It doesn't even compete with the fake shows that are sponsored advertised and covered for the past 3 years. Banksy defo needed to shine much much brighter. 😉 You must be fun at parties

Banksy Show • Cut & Run • Glasgow , by JockoLad on Jun 19, 2023 20:07:41 GMT 1, Banksy finally returned to Scotland.
Made it to the show yesterday at the 9.45pm slot meaning I was one of the last to leave.
Really enjoyed it and there was so much more to take in when consideration is given to the art showcased via the press. The insights into his working practices was great and opened my eyes to the level of preparation that goes into it all.
Peeking behind the stencils to see the silhouette image is a top tip from me. Also take time to really look at each installation as there is a lot that you can miss.
Stewards were all very friendly and I am chuffed with my posed 'GCHQ' polaroid that I requested be taken of me, particularly given that I was allowed to get naked for it (this may or may not be a lie).
Lovely to be able to walk around it all un-rushed and without feeling hemmed in by crowds.
Had a shot inside the BOTI meat van and thought it was great to be able to manipulate the puppets. Also impressed that Mr B opted for TAMA Iron Cobra bass pedals for the operating mechanisms (drummers, you knows what I am talking about).
Anyone heading along, you are in for a treat. It isn't every day that you get to see the inner workings of the Banksy machine. It still has an element of the raw works he was known for back in the day but provides insight into his evolution in technique and style. Loads will walk out saying, 'I could have done that', but the reality is that they didn't. Banksy is clearly a very intelligent individual and I still appreciate the humour that he puts into the methods of creating his works. It often feels like the finished image is only a very small part of the whole experience.
Remember, you have the same amount of hours in day as Beyonce, so don't waste them.
Finally, as an old hand on this forum I did buy two of everything in the gift shop. My eBay foray today has meant that the whole experience was free, I still own one of everything and made a little bit more to put toward a credit card bill. All part of the thrill of following Banksy.

Banksy Show • Cut & Run • Glasgow , by Universal Dav on Jun 19, 2023 21:46:49 GMT 1, Took the family down this evening, was good fun I’m glad I went. Six year old left talking about the man himself, Bouncy as he thinks he’s called. Strange taking it in, seen the images so many times you’re just a bit numb to them. Nice use of the inner main hall and the Polaroid was a cool touch. Grabbed two books and a poster set, didn’t actually know people were paying a few quid for them on eBay, they ain’t worth it.

Banksy Show • Cut & Run • Glasgow , by JockoLad on Jun 19, 2023 22:02:48 GMT 1, The thrill of a POW release and a good F5 bashing. Can still feel the palpitations associated to basketing something and then finding out it was still available to purchase at checkout.
I have to be honest with everyone and say I have returned to the forum after a bit of a hiatus as a consequence of the show. Feels good to be back. Not long until I celebrate my 20th anniversary on this place.

It has always be my dream to go to Scotland ( as Ireland too - my kids have Irish blood - Mc Namara - from their gran gran gran mother anyway )...
Loch Ness, The 39 Steps, castles in the skies ( reflection in the lakes ) , and a very very friendly and helpful people ( I met some when I was working in London ) .. Pubs should be enthoutiastics with laughs and songs ( not as these French cafe - I read some novels by Bukowksi, cursing these " cafe" where eveybody is sat on a chair, as stuck on it ! ..
The ex wife of my nephew is scottish too, but I can't ask nothing as it's an ex.
I was wondering also ( after seeing on Instagram a " stolen " picture of Bansky's room ( amazing ! but I won't post it anayway ) , if it would not be a great idea if Banksy made a little movie or a long video for those that could not afford going in Scotland to his show ? Unless all is in the book, these bloody books that everone are begging ( as I, it seems ahaaha ) . I really need a passport !! Crossing the world as two white traces made in the sky by planes!!! .. Azure...
Sorry to tell my life , it's coffee time at home, at the mo'..
Quiet, with kids shouting, running and laughing through my windows, in the playground down my building, in the other side of my street. Bless them !
