Banksy Show • Cut & Run • Glasgow , by drip on Jul 9, 2023 10:07:40 GMT 1, The seller's listing description reminds me how it's quite common for folk, when lying, to over-talk, to add too much detail. They overexplain and add information that nobody asked for. Because they're not just telling the simple truth, they're trying to convince others of a version of events.
Just something to remember for future ebay listings, argument with the wife, and/or police interviews.

Banksy Show • Cut & Run • Glasgow , by Acme Thunderer on Jul 9, 2023 14:52:41 GMT 1, How much is a return train ticket from London to Glasgow? Are there any reductions for children? Thank you. It will vary a lot depending on the time/date. Best deal for adult ticket will be about £120. Children will be cheaper (and even cheaper if you leave them at home 😉).
This is the website to book through - www.thetrainline.com
You can arrive at either Glasgow Central or Glasgow Queen Street as both are 5 mins walk to GoMA.

Thanks for the information about the trains.

A ‘few ciders’ to a Scotsman might be £840 (sorry for the stereotypical Scottish reference if that offends anyone)

Banksy Show • Cut & Run • Glasgow , by dsides on Jul 10, 2023 0:30:03 GMT 1, Hello, I was to exhibition today and it's really fucking amazing. I could not imagine it being so beautiful. I discussed with Polaroid photographer and it seems Banksy is present every day and like observe people's reaction with a lot of discretion and is very nice with personal. Try to be attentist during the show.

You guys are killing me with the reports. I keep looking at prices and flights and weigh the long-term impact on my marriage (oh, I'd be hearing about this for a decade, the 'Banksy' thing has already gone 'too far'). McGill 's suggestion of taking family would make this a budget-buster. This wasn't in the script for 2023. Must do something. Wonder Twin powers activate...form of a plausible solution...

Banksy Show • Cut & Run • Glasgow , by Jules Leotard on Jul 10, 2023 5:50:06 GMT 1, People who buy sh*t like that for prices like that, without doing any research, deserve to be scammed. I disagree with this comment. When I was six or seven, I ordered a 'Batman Kit' from the back of a legitimate comic book. Cut out the little page, filled in the blanks, put my money in an envelope and sent it out (it was only a couple dollars). I waited and waited and waited and I am still waiting. Scammers prey on people. F'er could list it all as what it actually is, lower the price in-line with what would be acceptable for what it is, sell more of them to make up the difference and be closer to being 'above board.' Scammer chooses not to.

Banksy Show • Cut & Run • Glasgow , by Jules Leotard on Jul 10, 2023 5:55:22 GMT 1, Do you think he recreated his bedroom, or did he keep all the stuff from his actual bedroom? Because I can't decide what would be stranger. The bedroom is a Freudian answer of all that we can imagine on Banksy. It's also a quick biography, very smart and important.
I think that it's a mix of all.. Since birth to being a teenager and a young adult still living at the familial home ( he was a art school student - souvenirs ) . It's also a retrospective of what " made him " and what he likes/likes, and we learn a lot about Banksy ( anyway nothing schocked me )..
There is the plush, military toys and planes when he was a kid ( he made modelism ?), the holy Bible to show that his parents were Catholics and that he has grown in this context ( he is supposed to have been in a catholic school no ? ) ..
The Specials ( I have been enough lucky to be in Londn when it was the ska ) show us his taste in music, and which period he was living in, and as all teens he nailed posters on the wall ( this Lp was an event too ! ) , and ska ( above all, the Specials ) were fighting against racism... The poster of the DJs and the Fanzine from John Nation could show us that he was later on, in the environment and soul of djs, of graffiti, that he was active in Bristol... He liked to make collages as all teens.. In fact in his bedroom there is the early stuff of his childhood but there is also what he likes ( and still deeply like ) in the present and for the future... The bag, the slippers, show us that he was a teen as a lot of us, with education, and respect to his family, in the middle class, that school bored him a little maybe, but well that it was an obligation.
And in the other side, that Banksy was a bit concerned by all the events and the Bristol and Uk stage ( postcards, newpapers extracts, vandals, grafftiti ) ... The flyers on the walls, Sex Pistols poster show us that Banksy is an activist - or close to their ideas - and that he always liked things and thoughts near Anarchy etc... ) . He lived in a period that we only have tapes to carry and to listen on a tape player or a hip hop boombox ( to determinate ) .. Ska, graffiti, hip-hop are amongst his passion.
In this bedroom we have the real past and what he ( still ) has in mind, and cherish : his toughts. We can read his bedroom as a book and hear the noise of the past ( movements, news, Woolworth bag - his first gym clothes ? ;-) -,
streets, as an ordinary and curious teenager crossing them with an apetite of knowledge and graffiti - spraycan hided in the bible ) just seeing it.
I read something here on the sheets in the bed, it means nothing, just again that he has had a nice and clean place where he lived, with his parents loving him ( and vice-versa ). I love this bedroom and I wish to make a siesta in it, no I won't it would be a sacrilege, this bedroom is the nativity scene of the baby jesus with an Ⓐ pacifier in the mouth... Or just a thumb, the same than years later, will press the cap of the spraycan and eject the tape... Lroy, I completely agree with your post and feel that this is probably the closest thing we are going to get to an auto-biography of "Banksy - The Formative Years."
In his niche, he is the absolute GOAT. The difference between other GOAT niches and Banksy's...his has been around for at least 25,000 years. Nice victory lap.
I also firmly believe that he and a group of Activist artists will one day be short-listed for a Nobel Peace prize. I think we are years off from it as he and other contenders still have work to do and winning now might hinder their creative works.
