In America or Netherlands, they call it “ scalper “ and not “flipper “ Maybe they scalp the Pikachu Van Gogh Pokémon ! What a story ! Poor Van Gogh ! We used to use 'scalper' in the UK, too. Usually for tickets, I think (although the main word is 'tout'). Flipper is a much more recent word, in my experience. |

The flipper will sell small quantity for small profit, short- or long-term and stuff he likes. Scalpers are buying in large quantity in order to quickly impact stock availability and thus, impacting prices, for a quick resell of the stock. Flippers also have impact on prices, but it requires several flippers to make one scalper. |
