Anyway, my feelings ? Not a lot, I don’t know why.. The artwork on the Stop was great and important ( ceasefire) but what impressed most of us, newspapers and people, is that guy stealing the road sign without hiding himself and in front of filming people, as if he did not care about the rest, as if he was under speed, cocaïne, as if the adrenalin guided him. Why ? A crazy collector ? A command or commission paid by another guy ? A bet ? I don’t know.
I never saw that, but, as I said, no much feeling not thoughts.

This is Banksy's single most profound and elegant work. He did the most with the least. To the best of my knowledge, it is the first instance he incorporated 'time' into a piece (as opposed to general 'timing'). It is Christmas Eve. Christmas was canceled in Bethlehem. Not metaphorically. It was canceled. That's how unbelievably bad the situation is. Digest that. Commercial Way. Nameless, faceless, indiscriminate bombings. Funeral home. Own it.

'The Thief' is in possession of litter and could be viewed as doing the public a service by removing it. Lost property is supposed to be turned in and after a waiting period, if unclaimed, is turned back over the the finder(s). That said, The Treasure Act of 1996 could be applied and the government would have to compensate Leon and Co., if they decide to take possession. That would be a fun twist as a Banksy would therein be legally defined as a national treasure. If I were a U.K. lawyer, I would take this case every day of the week.

Contextualized in the moment, I believe that that sign could have the meaning you explained. But in my opinion, it could also have something that links it to Banksy's previous works. A dual message in this case.
Drones could mean “controlled shipments.” The "Commercial Way" could be a commercial street. Like the Silk Road for example, which from East to West covered entire continents and related expeditions with 8000 km of roads. Maybe something related to Bbay? Or maybe more? Who can say.
Maybe none of this, but more simply a message against idiots, who wage war and cause damage to people, the territory and the entire world.
* I always like to hope that behind the works of art there are always more contained messages. At least you can hope that something good in this world can still happen.

Sorry to post the same pic again - theft of his artworks ? It's very clear from that image that Banksy did not reface a council road sign. And the thieves did not steal a council road sign . As the old road sign is back in place, it looks like it was all staged .

It looks like that sign was put up as 'bait' for someone to take it, the suspect has clearly stolen the sign, had his face plastered all over the newspapers, evening news and internet only to realise that the police are probably going to knock at his door. What's happened here is that the suspect has clearly got greedy, taken the stop sign, realised that he's been played and decided to try and work his way out of it by stealing another road sign and putting it back in the location of the original sign with the overused excuse of 'it's just a prank bro' 'I'm part of team banksy'
