For anyone worried that this work isnt good value and that the Oui work has been priced to try and sell these then you need only see the terms and conditons on the white cube website to understand they have no interest in profits nor in hiding information from you " the customer"

It clearly and transparently states that;

"White Cube consists of White Cube Limited and several other companies located inside and outside the EEA. The principal operating companies are:"

They have not set up companies in Jersey called the exact same names as those registered in the UK to syphon their profits and income to a jurisdiction that charges less tax and requires less transparency, that would be unthinkable. Gosh nope.

If one checks the accounts of white cub art here ; find-and-update.company-information.service.gov.uk/company/08971144

you can see that their 3 (yes 3) staff members only earned £600,000 last year and that over the last 3 years there have only been £14,000,000 of sales and purchases between them and associated companies which is in no way an attempt to hide how much they are making nor the values of their held works by trading them between themselves

Insane price for a rather poor image. Half that price would still be too much.

The price is insane but also there's a ridiculous amount of work involved to produce, it's nice to see publishers dedicated to the craft when others are just pumping out giclees and dibonds

I don't hate the image. And the print looks to be very well executed. But goodness. That is ambitious.

When they say "with extensive hand-finishing by the print studio" does that mean that the artist hasn't even applied the hand finishing himself?

What they seem to be saying is that some random person who works at Manifold Editions has applied a bit of extra paint on top! Jeez!

Good luck to them but then why spend £15k on this? you can get a perfect replica for about £500. Or buy emerging artists and get original canvases for a grand, no one buys Miller without an eye on the investment value. Buying art that you like doesn't mean you need to piss money down the drain, it's entirely possible to have a collection you love without squandering money in the process.
