Not sure what is the individual price, but as part of the portfolio I feel it is a very good deal that will not come up anytime soon

Yeah, I think for £600+VAT after disount hard to turn that down so bought along with the party, (didn't realise the prices they quoted included UK VAT). She's done a few nice prints but in terms of colours I think this is the best. |

Caveat - I think the Casteel should have been priced at similar level to Bradford, I probably would have bought for a punt if it was less than a grand.

Yes for sure, if you want editions to sell out right now this is the way to do it. Hope other publishers take notice. For quite a few years the quality over price equation has not been favourable for buyers. The whole market needs to adjust from top to bottom to get things moving again. Let’s call a spade a spade, they’re mono prints and some of them are $8400… Even 18 months ago that would have been too much. Yes, they’re nice prints but even if I could afford to drop that sort of money on a print, I wouldn’t. The bog standard print is $3700 which is again, absurd. As the market changes, sellers need to evolve, that’s not exclusive to art. |
