Queued for about 40 mins at 1330 then spent a very happy two hours taking it all in whilst listening to Ian Brown on the Ipod

poster is £5 and you can buy it in on lower marsh when you exit the exhibition. there's a couple of POW market stalls selling the posters, stickers and a few books from the website .
the book is £3 from an ice cream van as you walk in. it's an A5 fanzine in predominantly black and white. few articles, interview with brian haw, pure evil contribution, some graffiti pics. pretty cool. can't grumble for £3. great consumer survey aswell!

Went to ask the 'security' how long they estimated the queue was taking as i had my 4 month old son with me in his buggy.
Was bluntly told "don't know, but you can't take that in there" referring to the buggy that my son was sleeping in....
I came straight home & am absolutely pissed off about it all.
Mother-fucker with a walkie-talkie, skinhead and a blue jacket speaking to me like that....
Shame on the organisers for hiring such moronic c**t to 'police' this event.
Rant over.
Hope everyone who gets in enjoys it and takes a shed-load of photos as thats all em and my son are going to get to see of this show.
& if you're thinking of going tomorrow or monday, don't take your children in a buggy.

Adams work is 'kin wonderful! Had me book signed and a beautiful drawing by both Adam and Ron. Can't believe I now own an Adam Neate original (well it's as close as I will get and it is a great pic he has done across 2 pages). After this walked down to the Cans Festival and spent about an hour admiring, scratching my head and chuckling, I loved it! My only advise is don't by the crappy propoganda filled Anarchist do gooder clap trap booklet and spend your £3 getting to see Adam Neates stuff!

Historically you will never ever see anything like this again - it was amazing to hear people say stuff like, "i never seen any of banksy's works before, but this stuff is brilliant", or "wow this is awesome". Kids were loving the time there also. Man oh Man, i have been to many shows, been to Bethlehem for Santas Ghetto, but this was the most spectacular event I have ever seen. I queued for 1 hour, but i didnt care, it is/was totally worth it.
So anyone who is thinking about it, do it, take part in something brilliant. I am going back tomorrow and monday - going to suck it all up - art like this on this scale by so many artist, its was dreams are made of.
When you get to the beginning and the end of this show, you will get what this is all about, and here at the pics

Just got back to manchester after the most awesome day.
Pics to follow guys
top 3 moments of cans for me
1. the art, awesome in every way, natural and contrived all at the same time. it felt like most of it had been spewed from the walls. like it belonged there as part of the urban landscape. it felt like being part of something historic.
2. the stencil section, chatting with jef aerosol and ben eine and watching people and kids throw stuff up on the walls.
3. blagging free stuff from dora on her little market stall on the way out.

my wife and I took our 4 month old daughter with me with me, spent the morning at Adam and Ron show, managed to get a signed book almost the last one in the queue and I see ones already up on ebay!), met some really nice people, took a stroll to the festival, the queue looked a bit of a mare at 2:30pm but was in in 40 mins, some blinding work , the Vhils piece was stunning.
great day, if you're around do not miss this!
