Banksy • Cans Festival • 2008, by searchandrescue on Apr 15, 2016 13:16:38 GMT 1, this was the standout piece for me, not sure if it's Vhils, but looks like it.  also loved this one, from Sadhu (thanks romanwg for pointing that out!), which i didn't realise was 'free art' to take, I picked it up and then put it back down!! Gutted.

I was amongst the first arrivals and got some great pictures. However, the pictures were taken on film (rather than digital) which perhaps underlines the fact that this was a decade ago now

I went to see this exhibition in Amsterdam and was kind of disappointed.
It´s an unauthorized exhibition with a hefty entrance fee (around 25 USD).
It showcases almost 80 pieces of art (of course they are still nice to see)
but still... it´s just a warm up for the gift shop.
I went to see another Banksy Exhibition at the Moco Museum in Amsterdam the same day
which I liked a bit more even if they had "only" around 50 original works.

Banksy • Cans Festival • 2008, by printminx on Nov 6, 2018 19:34:58 GMT 1, The Cans festival was the first full on exhibition of urban art I had ever been to and wow it blew me away, it was amazing I felt inspired and totally moved by it in a way no other art exhibition had ever done. It was like my eyes had been opened for the first time and I connected and felt really good. I couldn't stop talking about it and showing everyone at college my photos. Happy times.
