What came 1st? Without Banksy there would be no-one here. In my book all medals go to 1 man. Laz gets great credit but with out banksy there is nothing to work with. The artist comes 1st.

He could sell his work through Other Criteria if that's all he is concerned with.
Really it comes down to where he wants to go next. If he is happy as he is then fine he can just stay as he is and use Other Criteria. If he wants to reach Damien Hirst's level then he has to change gallery. He needs major collectors and museums buying his work and that isn't going to happen seriously until he has proper management by a big gallery.
For Laz he is the goose that lays the golden eggs and while I think while POW could survive losing him with minimal impact it would be much harder on Laz. Losing Banksy would reflect badly on Laz's standing as a gallery as it would look like an inability to deliver.

However, now that there is a thread on the forum, I might as well add a little fuel to the fire... it is true. I don't know all of the details, in fact very far from it, but I do know that Banksy and Laz no longer connected and that a new company to manage and market Banksy has been set up. It will be announced in the next couple of weeks, I don't suppose it's a huge secret to say that it is called Pest Control, I also know who his new manager is, but that I am afraid I am not going to share... sorry.
