Yeah I've had this happen to me on many occasions, then only to see a few years later the price rocketed. Would have, should have, could have. Then all of a sudden buses springs to mind.

For the uninitiated, The Rubik Kubrick series by Invader is a set of six colour screen prints on pure white 250gsm paper that are part of Invader’s ‘rubikcubism' style of art based on the use of actual Rubik’s Cubes to create an almost abstract, yet strangely identifiable image. Rubik Kubrick 1 features the main character Alex from the Stanley Kubrick film ‘A Clockwork Orange’.

Cheers on the transparancy OP. Pretty much impossible to reverse unfortunately. Poster Mountain attempts dry mount reversing (they are one of the best in the biz) and they have very little success with out having to recreate portions of the work in the process. It is a highly invasive procedure that will 100% of the time damage the print further. The damage can be airbrushed of course but you are now recreating parts of the image or backing.
Wish you the best with the sale OP but low ballers is prob the best you are going to get. I'd say a dry mounted print by any artist is down 75% of original value at a minimum.
I'd prob just keep it framed and enjoy it for what it is.

I believe so. I think pfg framed a banksy that had been dry mounted and saved.

Whoa...What sorcery is this? These are hard enough to take out of a frame without causing damage much less removing a drymount. I would seriously love to know where this was done and the process as I can't imagine what that took to accomplish. |

I believe it depends on what type of dry mounting process was used.
Or I may have drempt that.
