Tyrant Boot by Fairey (new print), by s7740 on Aug 22, 2008 1:52:08 GMT 1, Stikee, your other assumptions were that I'm a Fairey stalker and that I'm jealous etc. Not to worry though, I just find it interesting that something about the facts contained in these links seem to bother you so much.that you have to get nasty and try to shoot the messenger. I would say that you are the one exhibiting troll-like behaviour, due to your inability to remain civil in this discussion. Like I said before, that kind of response says a lot more about yourself than anyone else, and does your cause no good at all.
And to Ron, the reason for posting the links is to make more people aware of the issues surrounding this work, because I feel they are important and will help others make more informed choices. I can see no reason to suppress this information, because I've seen a lot of people bigging up Fairey on here, so surely it's a good thing to give an alternative viewpoint. Anyway Ron, you have said a couple of times already how boring you find this thread, so there's a very simple solution to that...just don't click on it.

I have not got nasty and am not shooting the messenger, not sure what you mean by "your cause"
the "facts" don't bother me at all.....there are 2 sides to every coin, agreed
good luck in your mission

Tyrant Boot by Fairey (new print), by hitme on Aug 22, 2008 2:39:47 GMT 1, i'll say it again, you're a fukcin' idiot. the reason nobody likes your responses are because nobody likes little bitch haters like you walking over here, presenting the people with articles that have been in circulation for a long time now. doesn't both the posse, the posse only grows bigger and stronger each day. so basically the point here is that nobody on these boards that is in the posse cares about reading your stuff. you're not ghandi. you're not going to change anything. your comments about the art are of no interest here. the posse isn't what it is because of silly screenprints or pathetic commentaries on its composition. the posse is about the culture. don't feel bad that you're not welcome. there are plenty of magic cards and pogs for you to collect elsewhere.
onward..............

Tyrant Boot by Fairey (new print), by s7740 on Aug 22, 2008 3:59:09 GMT 1, Ok 'hitme', your response would be almost funny if it wasn't so truly sad. I actually feel a great deal of pity for you, as your total lack of comprehension of the complex issues involved here just results in you continually embarrassing yourself. I'm also aware that you blatantly lack the self-awareness to appreciate this fact, and thus will no doubt carry on with your vacuous and juvenile pronouncements. I sincerely hope that one day you manage to somehow get the education that you are clearly in such desperate need of, in order that you might then be able to contribute something meaningful to the debate. I won't hold my breath for that though.
I'm afraid that this level of discussion is not really what I'd hoped for, and isn't helpful for the street art community. It's a shame that this forum is spoilt by certain people who are obviously on such a low intellectual level, or else must have such deep feelings of inadequacy that they have to resort to foul mouthed abuse to try to force their point of view. I wonder if they are bullies in real life too? It would be interesting to find out. Anyway, I have no wish to be drawn further into pointless exchanges, and can see that I'm wasting my time here.

Tyrant Boot by Fairey (new print), by Gentle Mental on Aug 22, 2008 5:13:49 GMT 1, this is street art. artists use whatever they want to get their message across. and that includes stealing.
stealing is OK. even 100% ripped off. a photocopy of a photocopy.
Because street art is about the impact of the image not the origin of the image.
intellectual rights and royalties belong to the world of advertising, with the copyright lawyers and small minded penny pinchin' snobbish monkeys.

ahhh by trying to defend obey you're incriminating him lol. "World of advertising" - do you not have a clue as obey pushes his line of clothing, accessories and whatever else he can put his logo on? Lol Isn't he part of the very advertising world that you mock by doing designs for large corporations. Finally, I remember coming across a blurb in which he took legal action because somebody was "copying" him. Not commenting on his work as an artist but pointing out that some people need to check what they're arguing for...

If you are refering to that Baxter Print, that was a bull-shit letter apparently.
