Some of the names mentioned in the mail I received from the seller dont add up to the timing of the print being made ( bearing in mind the backdoor mary's being sold through here a couple of months back.... easy enough to add a sig and call it a gift).
The person mentioned as being given the gift has also been mentioned several times in the past regarding the distribution of older backdoor prints.
Had a good look and wouldn't be confident bidding on this one personally - pretty much 100% unverifiable, and too easily made for my liking.

As this one was ment to be a pre-release gift (?) it wont be verifiable in any way shape or form, with no provenance ever coming for it..... if its not a doctored backdoor print, it may as well be as there is no way to prove otherwise. Too many ifs and buts. |

Face it the market has changed in the last year due to the scammers.... I'd go as far as saying, from a buyers standpoint, a banksy gift print with no actual form of provenance other than word of mouth is as worthless to the buyer as a backdoor print.

Not going to turn this into another pointless debate about backdoors etc.... a stamped / hearted gift print would be easier to verify, but guessing one of the reasons PC / POW are not verifying gift prints would be the ease by which they can be created, along with the reason that its not nice to sell a gift. If I was given a gift print by Banksy, damn sure the sentimental value would outweigh the financial value of a print that I had no other way of proving was legit than some complete random stranger taking my word for it.....
