Firstly, I just wanted to introduce myself to the forum.
I've been a Banksy fan for a long time now, and can't believe it took me this long to stumble across the huge wealth of information that is this forum!
- I would be interested in purchasing an unsigned Banksy print.
- Due to the current times and the fact that I'm still relatively new to this, I'm not looking to spend too much.
- Please PM me anything you have to offer with prices and photos.
- I'm in Melbourne, Australia so I would require international shipping.

And if in doubt come on here and ask for advice as most of us are genuine and honest. I myself have bought 3 prints from members through this forum and had no problems.

Regarding your question Katzy, there are a number of questions that need askingaround unsigned Banksy e.g. How much do you want to spend (newer prints will generally cost less), what type of print are you looking for, etc.
One of my personal favourites is the Silver Flags print, which was only available in an unsigned edition of 1,000 and in the current market conditions, you should be able to pick-up on the secondary market for about ยฃ450.

Of course if you're willing to splash a bit more, girl with balloon and love is in the air are awesome images.

I quite like the 'Love Rat' and I have a feeling I just missed one go for cheap at a Bloomsbury auction, but I can't be sure just yet...

It's been hard to resist posting, particularly when reading some of the drivel spoken on here. If you're lucky I may write something else before two years elapses.

if its your first print i would say dont get a banksy...get something by someone relatively new that you like...see how you feel about it before you jump in to buying a banksy
rember that you have framing costs aswell

If you like his work and have no concern for its future value than check out some of his unlimited edition prints like save or delete Greenpeace or the Tesco soup can print. If you have a lot of wall space than check out some of the promotional posters that Banksy had done for the Blur Think Tank album back in 05. If you have any questions you can send me a PM and I can hopefully help you with my poor mans guide to Banksy collecting.

Nola threw a Banksy grenade into the mix too. I haven't seen so much interest in a print for a while. Maybe because it's got the 'classic' Banksy look - very different to Stop & Search which, although beautifully put together, doesn't have the 'knock 'em dead' impact of Choppers, QV, LIITA etc...
I agree with Wearology - start with something like flags maybe, if you can save up a bit more there's no reason you couldn't pick up an Applause for around the 800 mark - they're sitting at about 1000 atm, but it's a huge print and looks incredible if you've got a huge bordered frame around it (and plenty of wall space!)

I've been searching for one for a good while. It cost me ยฃ800. My advice katzy is to bide your time and if there's a particular print your really wanting, then stay with it. I have been offered a Love Rat that didn't sell at the recent auction, but it seems very cheap (500 pounds).

It is a way of bookmarking a thread that one finds interesting. Essentially, when I want to refer back to this thread, I only have to look at "my posts" rather than scroll through the multiple threads in this section.
