T.WAT: info, by eddiedangerous on Dec 12, 2008 21:22:49 GMT 1, I thought I' d take this chance of introducting an artist to this board. Althought there has been some mention, I don't think enough has been said about T.Wat so here goes:
A relative newcomer to our little world T.Wat is certainly not afraid to get up on the streets.
and unlike so many is not simply limited to one medium, message or area...
He seems as concerned with the unseen as he is with the seen. And more often than not the message comes over with a light-hearted touch not seen since the early works of banksy...

And a touch sometimes passed over by many artists today who simply see the commodity of art and potential paycheque. T.Wat is able to move swiftly with ideas and make social commentary on immediate issues...

I've filmed and photo'd several street artists at work but none with quite the organised and military accurate mayhem...
I see T.Wat as a very important new UK artist who hasn't forgotten the simple reasons that attracted the masses to street art. Who hasn't and won't ever take himself or his art too seriously. Who has taken time to master his skills and perfect ideas before taking them onto the street.
Having established himself in the UK scene T.Wat was recently invited to paint at "Paint and Beer" in Holland, which was (an obviously) great weekend...
Look out for T.Wat in the future, and just because he might not be shoving it down your throat, and you may not be hammering the F5 button to get hold of his art right now, sometimes thats not what its all about (although this forum would suggest otherwise 99% of the time) and who knows who's gonna be the next big thing, but I know who my money is backing 
and to add a little controversy as to who exactly came up with this...

Were you the blonde haired bloke in the pow queue at the open day, the one who let T WAT jump the queue or are the bloke with short brown hair who later tried to jump the queue by think of climbing over the barrier just before POW opened after spending an hour talking to T WAT and his two mates on the wrong side of the barrier?

Surprised he’s doesn’t seem more popular, I remember some of his work in Shoreditch, London. Although I can’t tell from his account if he’s actually done anything on the streets recently?
