Mostly I find you boring, but in this case I was really upset. You write things as if you are sure and an authority on the subject and when proven wrong you just act as if your surprised that people may actually believe you.
Did you make Babyjane an offer for her fake Banksy? Then I would understand why you write these things

This is a Banksy I am sure. Do not sell to any loser that tries and pulls the wool over your eyes via pm. You CAN get it auth at Laz! They are setting up a better system for this and they will do it, but dont expect a quick turnaround. Good luck and a great piece. Brilliant! The scenario has already been repeated a few times on this forum:

Part 1: Inexperienced and perhaps naive person appears on stage with a potentially very valuable piece.

Part 2: Numerous posts by one or more forum members (or the same member with different user names). These posts are along the lines of "no gallery will authenticate it", "without provenance, it's worthless", "you see, a genuine piece would have been signed", "this image was only done on canvas", "sorry, it's not a real Banksy[/color][/i]", etc., etc.

Part 3: Owner of the piece gets a personal message from one of the forum members who was "just trying to help out" (but perhaps under a different user name) in Part 2 above. The message goes something like "Too bad it's not genuine. Damn shame that it's worth less than the frame. I really like the image though; that's what's important to me. I'm not too bothered it's a fake. £200 for it?".

Part 4: Owner parts with piece. Happy ending for everyone. Well, at least for the buyer.

dont you mean another new low point for this forum? yesterdays incident discussion was a low point for me for several reasons.

i wouldnt worry, i pm'd her pretty much straight away telling her not to sell to any1 and to take it to LAZ to get it authenticated, as it could be worth £10,000's

let me make a few things clear to you people who are throwing their toys out of their prams.

1. I never said I was a Banksy Expert - I would defy anyone to prove at any point where I made such a sweeping statement

2. The opinion about this piece was not mine - it was somebody elses - and in time, this PERSON, will be proven to be wrong or right - so till then, lay off the gang bullying mentality

3. I have only offered Babyjane assistance - I have zero interest in purchasing this piece and at no point did BabyJane intimate that she wanted to sell to me or to anyone else.

I think a lot of you are hysterical drama queens, with nothing better to do then gang up on people. I have seen how you treated that poor kid Cartrain and add how, when you dont get the print/piece you want you get all nicely a chummy, when you dont, you turn into viscious turncoats, you people are a joke, who I never have and never will take seriously. I am just thankful that I can afford to buy the art direct from source, without having to resort to dealing with some of you muppets (graeme the flipper, Icky, Mammal, rudecopper, Ronhill to name a few).

Alsbaber. I’m sure in the real world you are decent sort of chap and I suspect the anonymity of the forum allows you to behave in a manner that may not be the real you.

Recently I posted a polite message asking people if there was any foundation to the Banksy / Laz split story, as I couldn’t find any threads on the forum relating to it.

I was immediately slammed down by you and told that it was completely untrue.

As a fairly new member I found your message unhelpful, rude and unnecessary

Similarly in the way you told BabyJane you had it on good authority her Banksy was a fake - you told me that you knew for a fact the story was untrue.

Current evidence seems to suggest that Babyjanes piece may be genuine and you are possibly wrong.

You claim to have the inside track on pretty much all the hearsay on this forum and from what I have seen / read in relation to Babyjanes post, your ‘expert’ may have let you down on this occasion.

There may also possibly be a grain of truth to the Banksy / Laz story - time will tell.

Of course, you are completely entitled to your opinion but please remember that an opinion isnt the same as a fact.
