Agree the AR collab killed his market and reputation but really gotta give him a break after that long. Artists need to feed themselves too, ha. Eβs style has always been about fun childhood and sci-fi/ horror fantasies - this is just in line with his style.

He's a good bloke and a talented artist; check out his paper cuts.
I've had many of his prints over the years but now just have one original.
I don't think his art will ever appreciate massively, he has tended not to stray too far from his comfort zone at times; which is a shame.

I don't really know Eelus, so i would like to ask you guys, if he is worth investing in? I will get the painting, because i like it, but it cost 700pounds, so i would also like it to at least hold value - and hoping for a rise. It is this one:  Do you guys think it is a OK buy for 700?

I think he/artrepublic made a huge mistake by re releasing his most sought after print as a lenticular a few years ago. Interest in his work then seemed to dissipate after this.
Price is probably fair for primary, but I would say you would struggle to get it back if you tried to sell it on in the near future.

This is cliche but honestly buy what you like to look at. 99% of art will lose its value over time. Save the cash and save for a banksy. The only one in this space bar the very few who will retain and gain value
