Eelus Raven Haired + Gambia Edition , by andyroo0312 on May 28, 2014 2:51:16 GMT 1, I have been looking for one of these for quite a while and yes 1750 squid is well over the odds, there was one listed for about 8 weeks 2mths ago it was listed at 1150pounds obo I bid 900 which he would except until he found out I was in Oz  , the print did not sell the only other one I know of was a member on here sold one for about 800 squid but that was 2 yrs ago, without a doubt Eelus,s best work.. glwts

I love the image, but having spent considerable time working in parts of Africa led me to purchase the Raven Haired: Gambia Edition hand finished (of 15). Just stunning. Wish there was one on aluminum - would have bought that one. I'll keep an ear to the ground for you!

Raven Haired is a stronger image, the hand finishing is much heavier and the edition size is at least half as small. I'm not saying it's worth ยฃ1,750 but it's got to be worth ยฃ1.3k-ยฃ1.5k! I've spoke to the guy who had his listed last month. He was desperate for a sale after being offered an art piece that he wanted more (hence the low asking price) but when that fell through, he pulled his RH as he knew he was selling himself short.

One on the bay right now but overpriced, I tried to buy it originally but seller mucked me around, basically holding out for more..... Good luck it's a great print.

Have a Raven Haired from the standard edition, conservation framed by MFM.
White box frame, double mount picking up green and black from the print (from memory - its wrapped in bubble wrap at the mo).
Can take some pics if interested.
I'm based in SE London.
