wouldnt help them if they do another release like this next time but they could expect the mailing list to get 10 times bigger ovenight

Why? I found it very helpful, I like the image, I like Miss Bugs stuff but have never got round to registering on their site. So i'm considering entering the queue. Is this forum not a place to share and talk about street/urban art? Or do you mean it's unhelpful in your personal quest to aquire one of these prints? If its the latter thats a rather selfish view and surely against the ethos of the forum. Would you have ever heard of Miss Bugs and many other of the artists talked about here if it wasn't for this forum and others like it?
This is not a personal attack, I just don't get alot of the "I want, I deserve" attitude that can arise on here. If you start censoring posts on releases, where does the buck stop, talking about new artists as well? Things like that would kill this forum.
The whole point of a Fair Q release is to give everyone an equal chance. (though i understand some people may register several acounts, but again that option is open to everyone?)

'Fair-weather' fans and 'true' fans still ultimately have the same chance. I tried to buy Lola but missed (just). I tried to win the last Supine but missed (just). If you want this print you would have sat and waited for the release day and refreshed for a few hours....or you can sign for FairQ. Fancy buying software / multiple e-mail accounts - same difference. If you get a print it's a great system. If you don't it's all outrage at the artist/print-house for not being fair. That's all I've got to say. x

But I'm still sure the hand finishing, gold leaf etc will hopefully save what could have (or maybe will) been a great release. The price and edition size is great as always.

May help 2008 year of the rat:-
The Rat (鼠) was welcomed in ancient times as a protector and bringer of material prosperity. It is an animal associated with aggression, wealth, charm, and order, yet also associated with death, war, the occult, pestilence, and atrocities. In the Chinese Zodiac, the Year of the Rat is associated with the earthly branch symbol 子. In some parts of the world, a year associated with this animal 鼠 is referred to as Year of the Mouse because the word may be translated to "rat", "mouse", or more broadly, "rodent".

This references the Chinese calendar I think so has no reference to Banksy's Rat thoughts. There are thousands of artists who draw or paint rats. Jusdeep, I am a real compositional bore and with my work and am a firm believer in 'the thirds' frame work. I think its some autistic thing. I love it when artists break the rules and it works. I am not sure this does. The figure is very central and the print feels very bottom heavy. There is also a lot of central activity right at the bottom of the image with that rat being quite a dominating feature. the blank area the top and right..... bla bla bla bore bore bore. Anyway, I love her stuff and I am sure your right it will be a big hit.

Just think the rats spoil it, just my opinion. It just looks like thats the "street" thing to do, so lets add it on.
