I loved seeing the sketches and the final pieces at the covent garden show, and seeing photos of the pair of them working on canvases just makes their work even more amazing.
If you can't wait until the viewings there are some brilliant photos on a flickr site of them preparing for a recent in germany last year. (interesting to see how the style has changed from last years shows early in the year compared the the show in campbarbossa - i love both styles, would be tempted to have a bid at the auction, and a really nice gesture seeing the money going to a very worthy charity)
(there are also romany's brilliant photos from the tslg show too which are well worth a google).

Just to Clarify, herakut are in the march the 14th saturday sale although they will be in town the night of the 10th for the preview/reception.
The Banksy edition is in the sale prior on the 12th feb.

Otherwise I'll just piss it all up the wall or spend it on rubbish prints!!

hmmm I might fancy Akut's work without the Hera....atleast for the piece above..seems like Hera ruined that face Ive got an original sketch from Hera and one from AKUT aswell he told me when i was at 'Dirty Laundry Show' that he VERY RARELY does drawings because he does more REALISTIC stuff which takes him a lot more time. |
