The FAILE Refunds Thread, by numusic on Aug 29, 2007 20:40:45 GMT 1, Amazon are a business. Faile are a business. are you serious ? They really should have been better prepared, any web programmer will tell you that it would take a days work to establish a basket system that subtracts an item once bought. In this respect Faile have let their fans down considerably. Call that whining and I'll call you naive - the boys will quite possibly be millionaires by the end of the year, they can afford a web designer for a day. If that sounds like sour grapes, it's not, it's called being realistic and not feeling like I have to kiss their asses just because I love their art.
Mate, I've been trying to get my designers and program bods to sort me this for 3 months !!! The likes of POW and now Faile simply don't have the experience to deal with this type of interest. Granted you can stick a basket on, granted it would fuck up. Its not a matter of money. I just think these guys do their best and we should cut em some slack. Im suresorting out hundreds of refunds is the last thing they want, and I'm equally sure the next time will be smoother. No doubt they're promised by the program bods that the system will work.

The FAILE Refunds Thread, by sausageboonwee on Aug 29, 2007 21:02:09 GMT 1, I love their art. They are a fantastic talent and I've been a designer for 20 years. I'm also aware that most artists love producing art and don't like dealing with commercial aspects of things. But you are wrong. A good system for processing orders IS about money which they have. Hopefully sorting the refund will help them getting sorted quicker. If sorting hundreds of emails is the last thing they want - then they can pay someone to do it for them. It's called delegating and it is also a common part of being a business.

The FAILE Refunds Thread, by ogrgel on Aug 29, 2007 21:03:06 GMT 1, Does anyone know if they are actually going in any order on issuing the refunds? Originally, it looked as though they were going in order that the prints came up for sale but now it's not clear if that's the case or not.
it's over for me .. order or not .. all three of my purchases are now refunded ..

Thats madness, when they reverse the payment it shouldnt take into effect the rates and should just reverse the payment, contact FAILE straight away, I would.

The FAILE Refunds Thread, by ogrgel on Aug 29, 2007 21:58:49 GMT 1, I spent ยฃ328 on a print but only got refunded ยฃ309! If that's what I'm losing on a cheap print I dread to think what I'll lose on an original that I failed to get!
I just realized that the last refund I received cost me 45 quid ..
thats the worst print release ever .. not just I didn't get anything .. I even had to pay for it ..

The FAILE Refunds Thread, by sham69 on Aug 29, 2007 22:04:26 GMT 1, Can't believe how hacked off I am after getting the refund. I think as a collective we should try some sort of lobby to Faile. They've creamed a small fortune from this, we're talking major 000$'s. At the end of the day the humble emails and the 'don't shoot the messenger' comments just don't cut it. If enough noise is made I'd like to see just how much he/they care. I've read the posts re 'cutting some slack' but honestly would you have gone to market with such a cack handed approach. I'll eat my cap if they offer any recompense. I know someone will poste the 'buyer beware' blah blah blah and point in the direction of paypal but in all honesty it was a dogs dinner. rant over
meanwhile back in NY I can hear someone laughing all the way to the bank

But Faile, I would bet, was unaware that the currency conversion fees would fu*k people over. You all should let them know. But actually, they might have lost money on the currency conversion too. When it happnede to me both I and the other person lost money on the deal somehow.
No word from Faile for me yet.

There are still 3 prints left on the Faile site (the pricier ones). Are they really available? I mean, come on, refuded 24 hrs later. Frustrating

Wow, talk about the art market reaching new heights, thats daylight robbery. Faille would be wise to become equally enraged about this.

I'm more interested in why was it allowed to happen and consequently the effect on my pocket. Everyone knows Paypal are a bunch of money grabbing c***s. What's Faile's response - shrug and open up another bottle of cristal?

I thought I was golden for the Mary - but refund has been received. Quite sad & very disappointed.
If anyone purchased 'Stories Of Love In Blue' and bought another they want to fund - please PM me if you'd consider selling at or around cost.
