Last night / this morning was brilliant. Sitting at home in the early hours (having searched earlier) watching things unfold with Wizbong, Relay, Phoeton,JBoy etc etc was such a laugh. Could have gone all night but gave up at 3.00am...lightweight I know.
Well done to the lucky AND the unlucky. ;D

ADAM NEATE - 1,000 Print Give Away, by edcase on Nov 15, 2008 14:46:30 GMT 1, Well I've just finished catching up with the entire thread, and have huge respect for those who spent 5, 6, 7+ hours searching the streets of London, as well as those who travelled in from miles afield (including Bristol and Wales!)
Lets forget for a minute if we can financial worth, which seems to drive so much of the conversation on this forum, and look at the buzz this has generated amongst collectors, the media and joe average on the street. That's the essence of street art, regardless of its format. Hats off to Adam.
For my part, we started on Endell st at midnight full of gin martini as protection against the cold and took a slow walk up to elms lester, through to Laz, back down to seven dials, stopped in Covent Garden piazza for a coffee, down to the National portrait Gallery, Trafalgar Square, Pall Mall (ICA), Horse Guards Parade, Parliament Square, London eye, cans festival tunnel, elephant and Castle (Ministry of Sound) then took a cab back to Dulwich via herne hill. big thanks to Wizbong keeping me company on the Blackberry!! 
It's funny but practically everybody we saw looked like people who were either distributing or looking! everybody was a suspect! also had many many false alarms, particularly around Parliament Square where there are roadworks and lots of temporary signs zip tied to lampposts!!!
a couple of times I thought we were definitely on the right track, firstly tailing the guy around the portrait Gallery and then again tailing somebody fiddling inside a courier bag next to the London eye! funnily enough that was the only time I felt unsafe, there was an absolutely huge gang of youths clearly very drunk and playing very boisterously in the park there right next to the eye. We had to walk right past them to get to the cans tunnel and there were a few comments about the gangster garb I was wearing.
I'm going to jump on the scooter now and spend a couple of hours whizzing around to a few locations I think might still be worth checking.... Smithfield meat market, Clerkenwell Green, don't want to give too many of them away!
Well done to those who found them, personally I think the vast majority will have been found by opportunists and we won't see many more on here, which I actually think is what Adam would have wanted.

It was quite fun bumping into other slightly suspicious looking people crowding round road signs, checking bits of cardboard sticking out of bins and the like  Well done to all who put in a big effort!
I bumped into a few people who had 3 each who told me about others they saw who had 5 or 6. They had spent a few hours looking but it all boils down to being in the right place at the right time.
They're starting to hit ebay and will increase over the next week I'm sure but I think I'll save my money for a decent handworked street piece. Maybe the hunt was greater than the kill after all (or whatever the expression is)..

I can honestly say that I had a great time (on my own) hitting the streets of London on my Brompton. But I can also say I am GUTTED that I couldn't find one for myself to keep. IMHO if I had found more than one I would have been in a major dilema to either leave it for someone else to find (which this was the point of the exercise) or take it and give it away to either a forum member or friend. Hand on heart I would not sell it on eBay and I deffo would not put it up for charity.. Sorry but last night was always going to bring out the greedy who want to profit, but that's life...
