I have told a few people privatley already. My lad, 8Mail, will be painting at Upfest this year. Go easy on him people, he has just turned 13. He is very excited, and more than a little nervous. I am very grateful to Upfest crew for giving him the oportunity.
Nice one! It was where i did my first outdoor piece too, sure it'll go great!

We will be opening early as there will be lots of people in Bristol early that day. There is also plenty of graffiti to view and take pictures of at The College. Only 15mins walk from Upfest as well x
Art-el Gallery is delighted to announce 'Everything Begins with an E', a new body of work from the Graffiti writer and illustrator Erms.
UK born but now based in Paris, he continues to be active in the Parisian graffiti scene.
Taking diverse influence from classical New York and European graffiti, renaissance art through to pop art, traditional graphic design and illustration, the 80s Hip Hop movement and beyond. Erms takes us on a unique aesthetic exploration of the alphabet, of complex patterns, grids and graphic style.
The title for the show is inspired by the famous Rave track of the same name. It also plays with the first letter of the artists tag as well as having intrinsic links to the rave scene.
The theme highlights the dangers of both of these pursuits that become all-consuming, and when taken to the extreme, the darker elements begin to appear...
This is the artist's first UK solo exhibition since 2009 in the UK

It's a two-man show by Epok & Smug and I'm pretty sure that it runs through till the festival so if you're coming to Bristol is well worth a look.
Also picked up half a dozen freshly printed foldout maps of the festival and where people are painting etc. The first six people to post on this thread and then PM me with their name and address and I will pop one in the post as it will definitely help you prioritise what you want to see where it is.

Thanks Johnny, hopefully i will get a good idea and it will turn out good.  Its gonna be a last minute thing as im soooooo busy at the moment. The last minute ones are usually the best though.

I bobbed to Upfest today. If anyone wants a copy of the catalogue then I have 3 to sell, AT COST, to forum members who can't get to Bristol.
They cost £3 and all proceeds go (have already gone...) to Upfest's choosen charity, NOCOA (National Association of Children of Alcoholics)
It's a 56 page colour catalogue with small biogs for each artist, and afew other bis and bobs, and a copy of the free fold out event guide.
PM me if you want one. Postage in UK will be £1.10 I suspect (AT COST); won't know for sure until I can weigh it accurately.
Just to be clear, I bought these solely so other forum members can get one if they want.
