Upfest • Street Art Graffiti Festival , by 11 on Jul 25, 2016 18:42:58 GMT 1, I also Had a fantastic time, my only regret was not staying for the Sunday night too as I didn't get to catch up with a couple more faces and didn't get to see a few pieces that I had really wanted to see. At the end of the day I got to catch up with so many I regard as very good friends, made quite a few new ones too, broke my Upfest cherry and have even been referred to as an art consultant although I think the o n s l t and a where added in just to be polite 
I have to agree with Harveyn , next year is a must and I will book out the entire weekend - friday thru monday
Massive thanks to Feral Things for the very special Banksy tour, his knowledge of the whole scene is immense and getting a tour of his home town is very very special.
Few pics will be going up on the Instagram.com/wherethereswalls account over the next few days and we hope to have the website live pretty soon

It was really great to see friends both old and new - Coach , Harveyn , 11 , Dibbs 45 , laurentbaboo , Agent Provocateur , overend , lha and all those other good people that aren't on the forum. I had a blast! Here's a few photos...
Jody - the subtleties of the tones in this piece are extraordinary. Unfortunately, this photo was taken in the rain, so please don't judge the piece by the photo. I think everyone agreed it was pretty special in person.
Shok-1 - this was the other standout piece for me; the can control was just on a whole different level. The original source image was of a horse but obviously it's been given a slight addition
FinDAC - the hot-air balloon is a reference to GWRB, the fact that two-thirds of all UK hot-airs are made just around the corner from this wall, the film 'Up!' & UPFest and the fact that the guy helping out had a kid who looked like Russell from 'Up!'; incorporating the chimney was a nice touch too. The houses are a nod to the houses in the nearby neighbourhood of Totterdown.
Cheba and Fanakapan - the OG which is mentioned earlier in the thread is created by painting a layer adding a thick layer of resin and polishing it very smooth then painting another layer and repeating the process several times - it gives Cheba's pieces a really effective feeling of cosmic depth that needs to be seen in person to be appreciated
8Mail and Agent Provocateur - it was a pleasure to catch up with you both over the weekend and I really enjoyed both pieces
Taker - I've seen the inverse idea done elsewhere but it's fun nonetheless

The Upfest Crew are pleased to announce the return of Upfest - The Urban Paint Festival for 2017. The festival will take place between Saturday the 29th and Monday 31st of July.

My lad does feel honoured to paint. He's been lucky enough to paint at every upfest since he was 13! I enjoy being his glamorous assistant.
