AS TEARDROPS FALL
For his first, much anticipated solo show 'As Teardrops Fall', I-lib (I Lurk In Bushes) depicts strange anthropomorphic creatures from another world in situations that will conjure up captivating visions of love, hate, life and death. Using a whole host of media, from his nostalgic Victorian style illustrations and paintings, to sculptures and installations, created using an arsenal of ink, spray-paint, charcoal and graphite worked on to old discarded material such as wood and paper. The textures, patterns and distressed/decayed look convey an enigmatic and wonderful body of work.
This work will be set in the gallery, which will be transformed into a feral woodland world of folk tale!

It was always going to be tight trying to open a new gallery space with 5 magic beans but like Jack with his Beanstalk, we were brave or stupid enough to give it a go. Now I'm sorry to say that the giant recession has caught up with us and we have to move out of our beautiful Rivington Street space. We're going to try sofa surfing for a while and the website will remain optimistically open. Appointments to view work can be arranged for those willing to travel to sunny Hastings for the afternoon, where Stella Dore will be searching for a more permanent residence.
Thanks to all who came to our shows, and all our fantastic artists and customers who we hope will continue to support us.
Temporarily, while the removal men are working, those needing to email the gallery please contact stephkatewarren@yahoo.co.uk. The gallery telephone 0207 7393 004 will remain unchanged.

I bought my cept thousand words AP from there and thought the customer service was up there with the best. if i had enough money i would buy 5 more of the prints on their site. i always enjoyed visiting and will miss their presence in the hub of culture that is the east end.
