DID YOU WIN?, by low3 on Dec 10, 2008 17:16:20 GMT 1, Don't see anything wrong with what Pud's done personally.
If anything, i'd be quite grateful that he bought it so someone on the forum who might have otherwise missed it can have the chance to get it. Its not like he's flipping it for profit is it? It seems to me like what he's done is completely in the spirit of what this forum should be! It'd be nice if a few more people did it for others on here, rather than just seeing what number they can get in their basket, and then drop it five mins later. If thats not ruining it for others i don't know what is!
Good on Pud.

DID YOU WIN?, by howler on Dec 10, 2008 17:18:56 GMT 1, Maybe badrobot was trying to buy that print you bought, the one you didn't and don't want but bought anyway, you made it quite clear that you wouldn't let it go to anyone who hadn't got enough posts on here so maybe badrobot isn't happy that you've assumed the right to decide who is worthy enough to own this piece of art. I have posted elsewhere but I think it will get lost in the thread!
I bought the Eelus print on line today as there seemed to be many members after it, many of whom couldn't get to London at the weekend and some who would have missed the online release today.
I bought it solely to sell on to any genuine Forum member who missed out and wanted it for their wall.
I have had approx 20 enquiries but have decided not to sell for a couple of days untill more people have had chance to take up my offer.
Should you want this print please add your name to the thread and I will organise the sale with one of you in a couple of days!
Cost is as follows;
Print ยฃ150 POW postage ยฃ8.00 My postage ยฃ6.50
Therefore the print is available for ยฃ164.50
Sorry, UK based buyers only, Flippers and Lurkers need not apply!!
Where does it say anything about number of posts? I was trying to do a forum member a favour who might not have seen the release, and couldn't make it down to the open day. BadRobot hasn't asked for the print so I guess your assumption is flawed. If you only want to try and see bad in what some people try to do then you have a fairly sad life mate!

I will happily buy the Eelus off you at cost as I was unable to make it at the weekend
PLZ :-)
Nothing personal mate but I don't know you, 38 posts in a year! You probably do want this and are genuine and I am not putting you down in any way but I would need convincing!! "
There you go, number of posts. I would have liked this print but read that and thought why bother I'm not going to justify myself for a print and even if I did and you allowed me to buy it the fact I'd had too would leave a bad taste in my mouth.
I made no assumptions I was just putting forward a thought as too why badrobot had jumped on your posts but hey if all you can see is the bad in people, well you know the rest.

Maybe the spirit of this forum but not the spirit that started POW, affordable art for ALL not those personally selected or those allowed to join some club.

DID YOU WIN?, by low3 on Dec 10, 2008 17:30:00 GMT 1, I certainly would, but for the past few drops I've not even had a lookin. There's no point having a forum if its not there to help its members. Especially as some on here seem to have the magic touch when it comes to getting prints!!
That said, i've got a Vaucher Our Father from last years ghetto that i'd quite happily sell for cost: that'd be quite a result!!

DID YOU WIN?, by low3 on Dec 10, 2008 17:44:00 GMT 1, Its supposed to be a place where like minded people can chat and throw around ideas and have discussions. Its supposed to be for the love of the scene: it seems lately that people just come on here to whinge and moan about some members who actually contribute a lot here, because they got lucky when someone else didn't.
I don't see the point in spreading negativity, it makes these boards a rubbish read at times. And for the record, i didin't win any lottery prints, didn't score a nola and can't seem to buy anything i like at the minute without someone beating me to it. but who cares!? its only paper!

DID YOU WIN?, by Partyfoodprincess on Dec 10, 2008 22:03:08 GMT 1, Er...possibly not the best point to pose this question but, here goes.
I was fortunate enough to have one of my 10 tickets put in for Micallef bethlehem selected, however, I did not get any of my 10 VLH tickets pulled
Was really hoping to get VLH; would anyone consider a trade for bethlehem?
PM me serious offers; im looking for a VLH ideally but will consider offers, particularly those including stop and search or a colour signed trolleys.

DID YOU WIN?, by I like pictures on Dec 11, 2008 10:43:44 GMT 1, As a posting newbie on the forum but not a newbie to the forum itself ( check name being trying to join for ages but kept getting refused entry, Didn't have gold shoes on or something)and not knowing any of you on here, I think what PUD has done is good, It's far too rare these days to see someone trying to help out fellow members obtain a print without wanting to make a few quid off it for themselves. It's PUDs' print now so he can sell it to whom he wants, I'm not of fan of it myself and don't want one but say good on you for trying to help other out.

WOW, bold prediction. So you think the Mic Bethlehem will do better on the secondary market than the Banksy?

DID YOU WIN?, by mishco on Dec 12, 2008 0:12:35 GMT 1, when i went to the show, i presumed i'd buy 20 banksy ticketsbut ended up going 50/50 after seeing the pieces. don't think there'll be a huge amount in it as the banksy is pretty small and i think would have worked much better on a larger scale. the mic is certainly the more powerful piece and really stands out. think nola beats both of them though

DID YOU WIN?, by sahoria on Dec 12, 2008 0:58:02 GMT 1, truthfully the bethlehem is such a striking art piece and when i saw on opening day had so many emotions come over me looking at it... anyone that went to the show can vouch for the same feeling....
the art piece is so bold and striking really been thinking about it alot... put post up about the meaning of it how i understood the image on another thread and for me think one of the most important art pieces i have seen for a long while... think captures a moment in time even though uncomfortable needs to be told.....
just like to thank the members that contacted me about sale of bethlehem but i dont feel what i have to offer is enough... i got bad habit of keeping art pieces i buy as i actually really do love them... havent actually sold art piece since i have started but great rule for newcomers is dont buy outside of your means... you can make more money from one day shares dealings....rather than hoping on a print!
the kindness i have seen from this forum has been amazing and i know alot have said what has this forum come too but from PM from people i can tell you there are really some fantastic people on here!
informative people like wizbong/alsababar/mammal/onemandown/ronhill/ and new talent like hero really feel lucky that we can actually do this... talk about art via pm or on the boards is something that always drives me back... really cant write everyone i enjoy reading each day but there are so many on here and thank silky also...
photoxtc helped me alot to begin with and could have easily brushed me aside but actually helped and for that truly grateful!
micallef is one of the art pieces i think will really stand the test of time... i know banksy forum and everyone loves i do too but think this specific art piece will really turn heads for many more years to come....
i know there was alot of slating of pow aswell... but to be fair they didnt know no ghetto till few days before the show... it was them that decided to do the show and lottery and think they did do great job in the end...
apart from BRP / frankie / there is not gallery that comes close... remember helped people get there site back and to me that is so amazing... to give someone the opportunity to see someone for the first time or there grandchildren is amazing....
this is all because of each and everyone of you aswell who went to the show or asked someone to go on your behalf... dont forget that... people talk about this forum going down hill but was upto you to turn upto london last week and buy those lottery tickets... short amount of time look what good things you did!
this year we have seen vhils come about and apart from last print i think is stunning... his work at cans was amazing i thought... this is person who isnt even 20 yet! studying in london at the moment....
year has been fantastic with the show that have happened also! hera art show in san fran has to be one of the most amazing shows i have seen... thanks to fellow forum member managed to get original and really i do love it....
d* did say last show would have done santa ghetto and hope in future can do something with pow as i am sure for charity could raise good amount... i am actually hoping banksy/dface/nick walker combine and do something special next year... not for there own benefit but for a charity...
i know josh keyes does alot of charity work also and apologies as this is going away from the thread but really take time out and actually see how many people and great artist contribute to this forum... likes of neverwork and rourke to newcomers like hero...
love him or hate him cartrain created subjective art that got people talking... i think personally that is fantastic thing...
i know sometimes feels like second arm of ebay on here but that is to be expected with the rise of hate to say it but urban art... remember silky started these forums many years ago before anyone could see profit could be made from bansky or any other artist... he has tried to adapt with the times and think he has done a fantastic job!
i look at the likes of pud etc collection and it is inspiring... someone who purchased art because of the love for it rather than profit....
i have honestly met some great people on this forum and look forward to next year to see even more!
just remember was lottery and we all did some good giving money to charity.... if there is one thing to read from this post is that you all played a part in that!
wish you all fantastic night and even better weekend!....s

this is all because of each and everyone of you aswell who went to the show or asked someone to go on your behalf... dont forget that... people talk about this forum going down hill but was upto you to turn upto london last week and buy those lottery tickets... short amount of time look what good things you did!
this year we have seen vhils come about and apart from last print i think is stunning... his work at cans was amazing i thought... this is person who isnt even 20 yet! studying in london at the moment....
year has been fantastic with the show that have happened also! hera art show in san fran has to be one of the most amazing shows i have seen... thanks to fellow forum member managed to get original and really i do love it....
d* did say last show would have done santa ghetto and hope in future can do something with pow as i am sure for charity could raise good amount... i am actually hoping banksy/dface/nick walker combine and do something special next year... not for there own benefit but for a charity...
i know josh keyes does alot of charity work also and apologies as this is going away from the thread but really take time out and actually see how many people and great artist contribute to this forum... likes of neverwork and rourke to newcomers like hero...
love him or hate him cartrain created subjective art that got people talking... i think personally that is fantastic thing...
i know sometimes feels like second arm of ebay on here but that is to be expected with the rise of hate to say it but urban art... remember silky started these forums many years ago before anyone could see profit could be made from bansky or any other artist... he has tried to adapt with the times and think he has done a fantastic job!
i look at the likes of pud etc collection and it is inspiring... someone who purchased art because of the love for it rather than profit....
i have honestly met some great people on this forum and look forward to next year to see even more!
just remember was lottery and we all did some good giving money to charity.... if there is one thing to read from this post is that you all played a part in that!
wish you all fantastic night and even better weekend!....s

DID YOU WIN?, by bullet on Dec 12, 2008 1:08:56 GMT 1, its a bit like blur and take that fully reforming with williams.
its good to see or would be good to see Walker and D*FACE back at POW, it worked well and there was simple but excellent prints happening. I remember when you could buy unlimited signed raiders posters for ยฃ40. That was the first d* that i bought and would never lose it, its always been on show in my place
