I don't want to sound negative but about a year ago-ish Dave was king of the hill his prints were selling out instantly. I remember a post on his blog saying something like you will get what I give you and I thought wow this guy can even tell his fans to fuck off and they still wait in line...... Then the market slows down few unsold prints and now its come full circle Dave is basically hand finishing every print and not like a pencil necklace he's painting on them. Funny what a year can do, in some ways its kind of sad to see the peak go it was exciting like a roller coaster . But on the other side its bringing some of these artists back to earth and we will benefit from that, if we have any cash left that is.

Quality will hopefully go up. And in Choe's case...

My "Dark Circles" print arrived the other day. I've got to say it's a stunning print, it looks like an original.

I def' prefer this piece to the "super serigraph!" If I had a little more wall-space and less already awaiting framing, this would be on my wanted list. I know it isn't for everyone, but I think it looks great! Very dirty, very Choe and unlike the other print discussed in this thread, I can look at it without getting dizzy or needing to grab my shades.

Nice pick-up Arcam. I'm looking forward to seeing some of these framed.

The universal truth eh!! Well I think it's ghastly and I'm very often a huge admirer of DC's work, he's one of my favourite artists, but I wouldn't want this print if it were in the £50 thread - it hurts my eyes! I thought art appreciation was supposed to be subjective and we could differ in opinion? Or is everything you like great and everything you don't bad? I think Silent Dance is one of his best, but almost no-one agrees with me, DOH!

Sorry if you find my post confrontational, but I hate the phrase "end of." It seems like a way of telling everyone else that their opinions are invalid. Peace anyway and I hope that you end up with one of these if that's your wish.

I don't find your post confrontational at all. It is your opinion and you are entitled to it. But as you say you are one of the few people who like Silent Dance so maybe your opinion is a bit lacking. As far as everything I like being great, well it is to me otherwise I wouldn't like it. One of the reasons I like this print is because there is so much going on, you could stare at it for hours and still be seeing new things in it. The colours are great and it has a sort of menacing feel like a mob up to no good, but the bright colours stop it being dark and threatening. End of. ;D
